The officiating has been so blatant that I wouldn’t be surprised in 5-10 years if a story leaks about refs being in bed with Draft Kings, FanDuel, or any of the other dozen sports books you see commercials for every game.

Is that on Hurts or is it possible the design of the offense and personnel (especially the non-OL blockers) are not well thought out and coached correctly? This idea that Mannion's offense is too complex for Jalen seems to indicate he is really not competent to be an offensive coach. Good offensive coaches (Reid, Shanahan, Payton, Johnson and McVay) change their scheme to fit the players. They run concepts that work for the team given the people at the positions. There is nothing that a change in QB will fix for this team. Either Mannion can scheme up and coach an offense or he cannot. All signs point to the latter.

We can blame the refs but the rules are ever more complex and subject to interpretation. They need to revise how they call penalties. Illegal contact and holding penalites on receiver are any contact and a slight tug of the jersey. They also should not result in a first down. It's an assinine rule. Why not make it a 10 yard penalty? Even the PI call on Goedert was questionable. Yes he got pantsed but would he have caught the ball anyway? Offensive holding should be a 5 yard penalty on running plays. Ratings are down. Part of it is that it's hard to just pay for one service and get games. Part of it is the amount of stoppages and penalties that impact the outcome of the game.

How about this is just a bad football team? Defense has plenty of holes in it. And the so called good players are shells of themselves. How about people start people being real with their criticism? And realize that the team just sucks....from Howie and on down. Howie built us a stinker with little depth to survive injuries. Past Eagles teams win that Panthers game. That was embarrassing.
