And why wasn’t Mann out there holding the ball on that kick off? They have been practicing that way all season. He wasn’t out there for the first kick off of the game or the last. Why?

The refs kicked him off the field on the opening kickoff.

The players deserve a lot of credit for today. They gutted it out in a tough set of circumstances. They fought and battled and they had a huge chance to win the game. Despite the injuries.

I can accept a loss. I can accept losses that are hugely influenced by injuries. I can accept a discussion on the QB (not based on today but just generally). I don’t think this team is as talented anymore and we might be headed for a rebuild and I can accept that too.

What I can’t accept is a HC who loses games. I can’t accept a HC who does nothing to give this team an edge. I can’t accept a HC who offers nothing positive on offense. I can’t accept a HC who preaches discipline and toughness and being prepared but doesn’t prepare the team. He’s got to go.

Yep. Nick just admitted to it too. No defending this.

Makes you want to leave him in London. Sirianni has been lost this year.

It was a simple throw that any pro QB should be able to make without trying, get out of here with this nonsense, Lawrence had Carter and Ojomo bearing down on him multiple times and still got accurate throws off.

There's no excuse for missing that throw, I've been defending the guy for 4 years even though there was always a suspicion that as a passer he didn't quite have it, but no one can defend that throw it was awful, you could get Nick Foles or Kevin Kolb out of retirement and they make that throw 9 times out of 10 and Kolb probably still doesn't know what day it is.

It was a godawful throw.

Hurts was the least of the issues today. Poor offensive game plan. Zero running game. Receivers who can’t get open. Stupid play calls. You were just looking to blame Jalen. He gave his team a lead the last time he was on the field.

no he was told not to kick out of end zone

Elliot and Nick both said the coaches told him to kick it in play. You’re an idiot.

Jalen did enough to win that game today. I’m not saying he was great but he did enough. In fact I’d say he deserved to win that game. With what he was working with he deserved to win that game.

You Fing moron that is what I Fing said. Why don’t you try reading what I said you stupid F. When you are told not to kick in the end zone, that means kicking in play.

What's most annoying is Sirianni basically has one role on game day and that's to manage the game/clock. If Sirianni can't even get that right what good is he? There shouldn't have been time left for a kickoff and then with the time left they put the ball in play on the kickoff??? Completely unacceptable especially when managing these situations is the only thing Sirianni is responsible for. Is there anything left we can trust Sirianni to get right? Why does he deserve to be a head coach at this point?

Well, Nick has finally, obviously cost them a game as a coach. A.lot of their failures are discipline related. But, also communication and coaching. Tackling is a problem. Time management is a problem. Team health is a problem. Our coach making costly decisions is a problem. Now, it comes down to how long. How long will Laurie and the FO structure allow the team to be mortally wounded by its coach?

They don’t have many options

The could fire Nick and make Fangio interim coach.

This is a long term decision. He won't get fired in-season.

Yeah there’s nobody really in the staff they would make interim. Fangio wouldn’t do it, he wants to coach defense and shop for boats to buy to retirement. There’s nobody in house with experience and a "next in line” stamp on the HR file. They’ll be Stuck with him until the end of the season. We can only hope he continues to run it into the ground so we get a higher draft pick.

I have tried SO hard to defend Jalen for the past few years. He helped us win a ring and for that he got a stay of execution but I have always been suspicious of his play since around 2022 but it is now time that he goes to another team....he hits Wick on that one play and its a walk in touchdown....any competent QB makes that play....Jalen is now refusing to pick up minimal yards with his legs....he can no longer get the tush push.....what worked for him his entire career has come to an end as other teams realize all you have to do is pressure him....he is very rarely going to get the hot route and he refuses to run anymore....he is not a pocket passer....even with all the injuries he has enough weapons to make it happen and he cannot.....Wicks. Cooper and Lemon can get it done with any other QB, of this I am convinced, it is just not with Jalen....I would love to see the reason he was benched in college because they obviously saw something.....

Thanks for the memories, Jalen....I am so over it at this point.....get us a traditional QB.....

I think that’s going under the radar a little. Not kicking it in to the end zone was a mistake. But actually if Sirianni manages the previous drive better then there’s no kick off. After we got in to FG range there was no reason why we couldn’t have salted that away.

As long as he’s still calling the defense.

Not happening. As much as I want to see Sirianni go, I don't believe making a change at head coach at this point in the season makes sense. I believe the more prudent thing to do is start the process to find a new head coach now so the FO is ready to hit the ground running as soon as the postseason starts.

Why not? He does nothing on either side of the ball so what harm would it do? And given how things are and where they were last year I’d say it would help morale. It’s not like Sirianni leaving hurts the scheme.

I don’t think it’s going to happen, but I was just pointing out that the team does have options. With that being the case sometimes a head coach can lose a team and occasionally a replacement during the season can turn the team around. The thing about Nick is he’s a motivator type coach. He’s the opposite of the super disciplinarian coach. Both of these types can be highly successful, but can also lose the team quickly. We see these types in all forms of sports. If they wait too long then this could end up being a 5 wins or less team; however, a shake up like removing Nick from his duties could be the thing they need to turn this season around. That is also something we see often in many different sports. We will see how it plays out.

Mostly because I don't believe Fangio wants to be a head coach. Even if he was willing to finish out the season as HC, he's clearly not a long term option. So you would essentially be shaking things up again this season and then shaking them up yet again next season. If they were going to make a midseason change, Fangio would certainly be the best option, if he were open to it. I certainly wouldn't call it a bad move.

Tomlin would be a better option than Sirianni. Let him just tidy and sort things up. At least that way we’d see whether Mannion can be a good OC or not without Nick the Dick meddling.

If Nick loses the locker room then I think you have no choice to move on as quickly as possible. That just doesn't seem to be the case at the moment. Until that time I think Nick at least brings some stability, if nothing else.
