Bring in Doug or Foles or both to be CEO, game day decision guy.

Let Fangio stay on D.

I wouldn’t go with Doug and Foles hasn’t done anything coaching related at all. That’s the kind of mass change that should happen after the season.

My cousin just pointed something out and I didn't think of it till now.... Why didn't the ref throw a flag when Little took his helmet off before the ball went through the uprights? Or did he do that after the ball went in? Wonder if it would have changed anything?

Same offensive and defensive scheme, just a CEO with a brain.

So unsportsmanlike penalty to be inforced on next down, except time ran out ?

I don't care. I didn't see you saying kick it to the end zone?

Hurts was the least of the issues today. Poor offensive game plan. Zero running game. Receivers who can’t get open. Stupid play calls. You were just looking to blame Jalen. He gave his team a lead the last time he was on the field.

He missed a simple lob pass over a zero blitz which would have given us a two score lead. We scored 3 points the entire second half, but the QB was the least of the problems? He's paid $50million a year and he barely cleared 50% completion despite having receiving options 2,3 & 4 out there. No the running game wasn't great with the 4th string Tailback playing most of the game behind the 4th string center, but lots of QB's play behind bad lines and they don't all get stacked boxes because they can complete enough damn throws to keep the defense honest.

If that's the case I'm not against it. The FO has a better beat on what's really going on behind the scenes and if they think it's time for a change now, I'm not going to second guess that decision. All I'm really saying is I don't think it would be malpractice to keep Nick around until the end of the season.

He was lucky to survive the collapse in 2023. But that worked out. He was then lucky to survive a very similar collapse last year. There were rightly questions about him during the offseason and he should have gone. So I think he came in on the hot seat and it’s going off the rails. And he’s the biggest reason for that.

I got argued down in a Eagles group on FB because I pointed it out....I said thanks but its time for a traditional QB....I said thanks for the ring and memories but let's move on and people got MAD at me saying if it weren't for Hurts we would be winless....people are BLIND when it comes to this man!! I have said nothing for this past six years and when I finally do I got attacked and was told I didn't know football and what quarterback would do well under Sirianni?? Excuse after excuse for Jalen and it needs to stop....we are not going anywhere with this man unless the 2024 team comes back....

Yep. Nick just admitted to it too. No defending this.

It's crazy that Siri was the only person who thought that was a brilliant idea

Hey the Offense converted some 3rd downs this game.

Progress!!!!

Yea I've talked to Eagles fan co workers and my opinion is that w/o his legs Jalen is average.

I said that the possibility of moving off of him has to at least be on the table and they act like Im crazy for even suggesting that.

At this point Jalen is who he is. We have in all likelihood seen the best we gonna get from him and once Siri is gone we would be severely limiting our HC candidates if we forced whoever to keep Jalen.

if we’re taking anything positive from the game, the o line actually looked ok. Saw some clips of lampkin and he didn’t let anyone down

It wasn't simple. He was dealing with the blitz and had to lob the pass as if the defender was actually going to cover the WR. Do you want the QB to be psychic and know that the db is just going to allow Wicks to run free? If he had somehow known that, he makes a better pass.

Either way, Hurts delivered and drove downfield to gave us the chance for the go ahead FG. He delivered. That loss falls on incompetent coaching with 8 seconds left.

This is a fair assessment

I also compared Hurts career trajectory to that of Eli Manning

Both when making the playoffs either lose the first game, or play in the SB (in Eli's case win the SB)

Both give you a fair share of head scratching to pure infuriating moments in the reg season while Both having shown playoff/SB brilliance.

Reg season wise, Hurts has had the higher highs (2nd in MVP voting). Eli had the lower lows (led the league in picks).

Not exactly apples to apples but I feel they're more similar than most would initially think. Eli got a lot of grace during his latter yrs for beating Brady twice. Philly doesnt have that same patience but had we won 57 he Def has more rope, to what extent I cant say.

When I explained that to said co worker he claimed its an insult to Hurts to compare him to Eli. Is it though?

I think Eli benefited from having the last name Manning. I’d definitely take Hurts at any point over Eli. I think a good comp is Russell Wilson though I think Russ is a much better passer.

If we're talking Jalen Hurts. I think he's a good QB with one big flaw that keeps him from being great game in and game out. He needs more than the average amount of time to process what he sees. in 2024 he threw far fewer passes than other years and the team ran the ball all day. The Eagles didn't increase his processing speed. they reduced his need to process fast all the time by reducing the number of times he had to do it. Also, that O-line gave him a lot of extra time when he was called upon to do it. Add in that he could throw it in the general direction of AJ Brown, who for that season at least, often made the difficult catch despite it being a little off target. Hurts has among the slowest release times in the NFL and has been that way his whole pro career. The fastest he ever was was 14th in the league and that was for 1 year.

Why do receivers often have to slow down to catch a ball a little behind where it should be? Why does he miss seeing the whole field when he has the time to do so? Yes, some plays actually call for reading half the field or restrict the progression by design, but it's not all the time.

His college coach said he needed to work on his processing speed and his accuracy and you know what? He did. The issue is that the bar is now much higher in the NFL and that big flaw is still there. He has a long way to go to become as consistent as he should be and at this point in his career it is fair to wonder how much better he can become. I hope he gets where he needs to be fast. I want him to be great week in and week out for many years. He's the starting QB for the Eagles and I want them to win multiple championships moving forward. A consistently great QB helps their chances to do that a lot. I want it to be him. I'm just not sure he can overcome his biggest flaw. Time will tell.
