Great player. Great warrior and leader. Was an integral part of our second Super Bowl.

Personally I hope he is back as Eagles QB1 next year with a line that will protect him so he can keep helping the team win and build his legacy.

But most importantly I hope he makes a full and safe recovery.

Speedy recovery. Hopefully back to hit it hard next year. I hope we shut barkley down for the season and save some wear and tear on his legs.

Jalen needs to focus on his health and what plans he has going forward if there’s a chance he may never play again - or if he decides its simply not worth it.

People die from blood clots on long flights and they let him travel with one without doing a full body scan. Blood clots don't move that quickly into the lungs. He must have had them there before the flight over and then they kept him up all night and let him play. This is not going away quietly or quickly

Maybe just some rando, but that account is saying team doctors diagnosed Hurts in London with this issue and told him to stay up for 36 hours before the game against JAX. I assumed this was meant to prevent further clotting as your heart rate and breathing slows during sleep. If this is even remotely true, one of three or all three of the team doctor, Sirianni and/or Roseman will be canned.

Why on earth they would try and get Herbert is beyond me. The guy sucks with no OL in LA and is arguably the worst QB in the league rn, yet people would expect him to shine behind this OL and banged up roster?? 🤣

I’m assuming they cleared him to play against the Jags because….rest/non-movement could make the clot worse.

Same for the sleep decision, meaning, if he wasn’t active or moving around, the clot worsens. So they didn’t want him to just lay around and do nothing. Keep him awake and moving, then re-assess the condition.

Thats exactly what was put out originally. I dont think people seem to remember hurts has his own independent medical staff.

Man, this news just keeps getting worse.

Firstly and most importantly let’s hope for a smooth recovery for Jalen. There are things more important than football and this is most certainly one.

If it’s all true re. not sleeping, it really doesn’t look good for Eagles re letting him fly without further evaluation or play in London. At the very least, can’t see how the medical staff survives this

When I saw the first blood clot report, I thought "What's kind of serious, even in his leg...", now I read that there's multiple in his lungs? Potentially extremely serious. After a CT Scan a few years ago, they found a clot in my mother's lung and put her on Eliquis (a blood thinner) immediately, which worked to dissolve the clot. She's been on them ever since.

I would assume that they're looking for the underlying cause, if there is one and it's not just a random sort of thing. I'm not sure what causes them. Have there been any reports on that aspect?

Downplaying to the public is one thing, but we don't know what's happening behind the scenes. I wouldn't read too much into it, especially when they're dealing with HIPPA sort of information that they have to be careful with.
