He needs to be traded before the deadline. Just get his mopey ass out, and make Goedert TE1 when he comes back. I used to be a big Ertz fan, but his clear lack of effort due to being unhappy with his contract is really souring me. Just shut up and play. Perform well and you’ll be paid what you’re worth, whether that’s by the Eagles or another team.

Exact same sentiment here. Very big fan of his but this season has made me look at him entirely different, and not in a good way.....

Goedert is the way to go

Ertz isn't even producing anymore.  Now he's hurt and will miss 3-4 weeks.  Really will hurt his trade value wow.

They have to wait until the off season. I don't think they're allowed to trade an injured player and he's not back until after the trade deadline.

Should've traded him last offsesaon.  Now he's a disgruntled, injured employee underperforming.  Great.

Well that hissy fit really worked out well for his future outlooks. Teams are just itching to sign  declining, injured bad attitude TE's to huge contracts!

And with that injury I think it is unlikely that they manage to trade him this year. 

It seems there was never an intent to extend Ertz once he made it clear what kind of deal he was after. At that point why didn't they trade him? Howie doing Howie things again.

Not like his performance warranted any trade value before. Who’s trading for a TE who wants no part of contact, that has diminished receiving skills, is clearly moping, expects to be paid top 5 TE money, and is nearing his 30s? And that was before the injury. A 6th round pick might be generous.

He's a talented receiver.  Before injury it was still possible to trade him.  Another team could chalk it up to a good player on a bad team with a struggling QB.  He's been successful and performed well over his career it's not like he's a fluke.  Another team would also see they drafted Goedert and the Eagles don't want to pay Ertz.  A team wanting to add a playmaker to their offense would have made a trade.  But with the injury it's moot because he's going to be on the injured list through the trade deadline so they'll have to move him in the offseason if they make a trade at all.
