So one day I get hammered and decide it'd be a great idea to moon the camera. All was well then he pops by to check it. I let him use our laptop to check the SD card. Of course my kids pop in to see what's on it and all of the sudden there's my Irish cheeks for them to behold. Now I was apparently a crafty drunk because I managed to not get my face or any identifying clothes in the picture. To this day my kids still think there is a weirdo back there that mooned the camera. Of course they had to tell their grandparents about all this, too. This legend is still brought up by them years later. 23 minutes ago, paco said: Good luck with that. I suggested landmines but schmoopie wanted nothing of it. "Think of the children!!!" she said. I have a 60lb one and it goes off on every critter it sees. It makes weird monkey like noises and runs to our bedroom to grab a loose article of clothing to drag around when it sees or hears things. It's clearly malfunctioning.

Good thing that cat was a good climber.
October 13, 20205 yr I have an African Boerboel Quote The word "Boerboel" derives from "boer", Afrikaans/Dutch for farmer, and "boel", old Afrikaans/Dutch for dog.[4] Boerboel, therefore, translates as either "farmer's dog" or "Boer's dog" and should be pronounced somewhat like "boo-er-bool." One historical source dated 1909 describes events in 1857, when a cross between a bulldog and a mastiff referred to as the "Boer Hunting Dog" was the best dog for hunting leopards and baboons.[5] Individual boerboels have been documented killing Adult male leopards.[6] Mine is female - only about 130 lbs. I met her parents when picking her up - her Dad was 165 pounds of solid muscle. Looked like this

October 13, 20205 yr @Agent23@mr_hunt@rambo @downundermike Ring is here and installed. Now in the instructions they said it doesn't matter which screw you hook each wire up to. However, when I push the button, the chime is a lot slower and a tad softer. We experienced the same thing here when dumb dumb hooked up a new doorbell at our beach condo. Before I take the damn thing down and rewire in case it does matter, did any of you experience this and was it caused by something else?

Funny side note, I have never had a door bell at my house, and all 3 of my dogs were raised in this house. My dogs all bark when they hear a door bell on TV. Not sure what they think they are barking at.

When we moved to chester county, some how the puppy who never heard a live doorbell knew what it meant.
October 13, 20205 yr I’m interested as well. We have comcrap and since I updated my router and modems their **** system won’t work without the side car router. I don’t want anything extra on my network so I’m about done with them. $40 a month for crap service and we don’t even set the motion sensor because of the dog. I was looking into simplisafe. Heard good things. It’s like $24 a month with full service and police notifications.

AC isn't polarized so if the transformer is correct, you should be good. Could be something with your settings in the app.
October 14, 20205 yr I didnt. Directions said to just swap em. I actually just ordered a proper multimeter today from prime so I can probably check it in a day or two (my current one just tells me if there is current)

If the chime is too quiet (assuming you mean on the door bell unit), it might be due to something else.

I wrapped it in electrical tape, but is it possible thats causing the problem?
