If you quit your job you can’t file for benefits.  Could have helped.

A record 4.4 million people quit in September as Great Resignation shows no signs of stopping.

I waited for October 1st.

  • While I disagree with Biden trying to save these idiots from themselves, it just proves what a wonderful human being he is. IMO we should encourage Trumpbots to all give each other Covid so they die o

I get a chuckle out of all my conservative friends who post on social media about gas prices.  If paying $40 instead of $30 a tank is breaking you, then you have a lot bigger problems than the price of gas.

It isn't just the "$40 instead of $30" that's the problem. It's Canned Oysters that were $1.99 are now $3.19.  It's bacon that was plentiful at around $4.00 is now mostly $5.00 - $7.00. Some of it may be profiteering but I doubt all or even most.  I wonder if the price of getting those materials from where they're produced to where they're sold enters into the equation. I wonder if truckers having to pay over $100/fill more than they were 18 months ago has something to do with it.  Not to mention California prohibiting trucks more than 8 years old from picking up loads at the Los Angeles ports (sheer California 'brilliance' there). Nahhh, it's all Trump's fault.

It's true. Good thing he lost, right?

Sorry Dan, the cult in CVON tell me that all of that has ZERO to do with the Supply/Demand issue with OIl/Gas.

The Babylon Bee paints a completely different picture though. Got anything to say about that?

he doesn't actually have anything. because he's "informed" by right wing media that just assures him Biden is evil and Trump was a god.

when Biden came in, he issued a moratorium on new leases for drilling. this didn't affect existing leases, many of which were not being utilized yet. so there's not a shortage of drilling options for oil companies.

at the same time, rigs had gone from 700 down to around 200 during the pandemic, because demand dropped so hard. we haven't even restored the 700 rigs yet - though we've come a long way back to be at 563. and as we bring more back online, something that Biden has not stood in the way of, supply pressures for oil should ease.

this is the actual story. there are definitely some additional components that vikas brought up about private capital being less inclined to fund shale and tight oil extraction, but none of those are related to any Biden policies.

but for @Ipiggles facts are not the goal. like his clone Kz and other right-wing partisan hacks here, he already knows the answer he wants: Biden & the liberals are to blame for everything. all that matters is sharing and spinning stories that support that narrative. that's it.

I’ll stick up for @Ipiggles here. He’s not KZ’s clone. He’s clearly the rebranded irony eagle.

Quoting a tweet from one of the biggest partisan hacks in all of congress was a pretty strong comeback. Well played. You’ve pretty much won CVON unless Snow comes back at you with some snarky AOC tweet.

May be an image of 2 people and text that says '"Republicans were BLAMING Biden for not using the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to lower gas prices, and now that he's releasing 50 MILLION BARRELS, they'll be complaining he's USING the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to lower gas prices." @DAVENEWWORLD_2 OCCUPY DEMOCRATS'

Political Cartoons by Michael Ramirez

We, uh, are still the world's top oil producer. We're still ahead of Saudi Arabia and Russia by half a million barrels per day.

OMG !  Maskless ……impeach.

You're such an idiot.  That $10 a tank is more money that can be used to help feed/fuel other parts of the private sector.  $10/tank of extra discretionary funds multiplied by millions.... Have you reproduced?  Please say no.

But it would fall in line with liberal lunacy.  Freedom for American citizens to do what they want with their money = BDS.

That's year over year, right?  Wow.....can't imagine why everything would be up over last year.

Oil is an outdated fuel already. Even the oil companies know that.

Lol…. You must be super poor if a $40 tank of gas is breaking you.

Think maybe those 2019 vs 2021 numbers could perhaps be influenced a bit by the current inflation rate on goods and services?  Not saying it's not good to see, it absolutely is...just need to take everything into account.

I used to work in the food distribution industry.  I managed the Produce category for some large Food distributors.  A truckload from CA to the east coast, cost about $6,000-$8,000 in freight....4 years ago.  Now it is $10,000- $12,000 for that same truckload of the same products coming from the Salinas valley.  That is all going into the cost of goods.  It effects everything.  Not just some idiot lefties idea of $10 more a tank of gas.

The cost of oil and gas affect way more than a consumers fill up at the Pumps. There is heating costs for those who do not use, solar or electric heat.

Then there are hidden costs, The cost of transportation of goods goes up and that goes into the price of goods. Petroleum products are used in a host of manufacturing, so the cost of that goes up. Since the cost goes up for everything, this means your taxes also go up since it now costs schools etc... more for busing, food, school supplies, and heating etc....

Anyone who thinks this is just a probelm when you fill up your car is completely uneducated to just how much the price of OIL and GAS affects everything.

We call them progressive liberals: I.E. "The Cult" here in CVON

Did they turn the OCR over to the Vatican?
