Whoa.  Amazing.

Guys, we're experiencing an historically successful (and obviously deeply patriotic) administration here.  Enjoy it because one day Republicans will be back in charge and desperately trying to tank the economy.

  • While I disagree with Biden trying to save these idiots from themselves, it just proves what a wonderful human being he is. IMO we should encourage Trumpbots to all give each other Covid so they die o

Stop it. They still deny he suffers from it.

I've heard the real reason for all of these election audits are to gather addresses of registered democrats. The republicans are planning to build internment camps for registered democrats after the 2024 election.

Scary times.

Screwed   Unless you youngins can get your head out your arse.  One cannot lead by a twitter and other social media worlds that many choose to live in.  That’s not how it works.   Wake up.   Glad I’m on my way out.  He’s Presidential and doing you a public service whether you voted for him or not.  He’s been doing it a long time. Don’t like it? Then step the F up!

Seems to me the person with their head up their arse is you.  Have you been to the supermarket lately?  The shelves are half empty, and when you can find what you're looking for, the prices have skyrocketed.  Try shopping for a car or a house.  Go fill up your tank.  Biden's viewed as a joke on the international stage, and otherwise is clearly in an advancing stage of dementia.  Remember when the meeting with the pope was postponed because he pooped in his pants?  There is zero about Biden that is presidential.  I'd be willing to be that you never voted for a Republican president in your life and are a die hard Democrat.

You also have trouble differentiating between how people behave and speak and what's happening on the ground in real time (and BTW, regardless of Trump, Biden makes a very poor appearance every time he's in the public eye  - that is, when he's not on vacation).  If you don't miss price stability, a robust economy, and world stage where the U.S. was feared and respected, I sure do.

Are you brain dead?

You mean the economy isn't being tanked right now?  I guess all those empty shelves at the supermarket are mirages.  Go try and buy a house or car.  Go fill up your tank.  And while we're at it genius, what was the employment level before Covid hit?  You do realize that the "increase" in employment is just filled with people going back to work who were employed during Trump's administration.

Glad we have you to reassure us.  Phew.

Who the hell still goes to a grocery store?

Instacart. Try it.

I go at least 3 times a week.  Is that weird?

Went to the grocery store with my wife while visiting her parents at Christmas. Probably the first time in at least 5 years I had been to one.

I hope you didn’t pull a George H.W. Bush

The one different routine I have is I never go into a bank anymore.  I use the bank’s mobile app and just deposit checks with my phone.

I would never let a stranger pick out fruits, veggies or meat for me.

We just got home from a late holiday vacation I stopped in at grocery stores between here and the mountains (SEPA up to NEPA) for snacks and small stuff. In none of them - Giant, Weis, or even small stores like Wawa & Turkey Hill - was there any empty shelves.

Not going far and wide exactly, but spans Philly suburbs to very rural PA. No shortages.

Nor were there shortages of goods for Christmas. And we didn't order early or anything, I was still shopping the days before Christmas (because that's how I roll) and saw no evidence of empty shelves or supply issues.

Supply chain issues seem to be resolving.

Wow.  I am registered as an independent.  I have voted for plenty of Republicans.  I have what I need when I go to the store.  I voted for Trump in 2016 and the following day regretted it.  One of the first things he signed was his bid for re-election and he held a rally within the 1st month.  WTF?  He is the sick man, and while Biden is older and I also believe in some state of decline, he was the only one that could beat him.  And he did.  It is so sad what he did to this country and his party.  Yet, there are people like you that are just so against Democrats that instead of using your common sense to realize that the only way forward is to finally shake the filth of Trump off, and let's get 2 younger candidates in the run for the next election.  That's my hope, but clearly not what is happening.

I don't want some slimy grocery store employee picking out our perishables....You f-ing kidding me?

I shop for a family of four and I don’t use Instacart either. But yesterday when I was at the store I noticed an employee pulling stuff in the produce section that I assume was for customer’s orders.

Good speech by Biden. He was level headed and had good energy.  There were only a couple moments of delay or stutter.

Some items are still hit or miss but, it's usually the least popular item of a brand that will be out of stock. Companies right now are just focusing on their top sellers like for example Philadelphia cream cheese I can get all sizes of regular cream cheese but can't get the flavored.

A lot of suppliers have discontinued a lot of products too, that weren't big sellers.

Also a lot of us and our suppliers are still struggling to keep up with demand. I can't speak for all grocery chains but, for mine our sales are actually up over last year's panic buying sales. The difference is this year we have product to meet the demand, so that obviously is going to make our sales higher because last year the shelves were actually empty.

We're facing majors issues in my industry.  In some cases it's helping my business.

And we have discontinued some items or put a temp hold on production.  Call outs and labor shortages is the biggest concern.  Clearly because of Trump and Jan 6.

Because of the global pandemic, that Trump called a hoax and admitted to downplaying. Also because we rely so heavily on manufacturing from overseas. Which Trump promised to put an end to, and of course did absolutely zero about in his 4 years in office. Just saying.
