Wouldn't it be refreshing to have candidates that you actually would want to vote for instead of voting for one because you hate the other. Need to get out of the 'Anyone but....' cycle and get some decent candidates. The division that has happened over the last number of years may be hard to overcome though. There were always people who voted party lines but now it seems to be more common and that isn't a great situation.

There's lots of defensible reasons but at the end of the day elected pols need to treat this ish seriously. FWIW Trump's legal peril has less to do with handling of classified docs and more to do with how he responded to being told he needed to return govt property.
