Somehow I had it in my mind that after that they experienced an economic downturn after that. I can't for the life of me tell where that thought came from, but yeah I was totally wrong. It happens... sometimes You're probably thinking of the Irish banking sector in 2008/2009. Basically imploded. But they survived and the economy has been strong.
