The truth is that, while nearly everyone has struggled with this format in some way at some time, most of the kids failing are the ones who would be failing under any circumstances. Some, however, have actually thrived in it. Unfortunately, this situation has given Mr. and Mrs. Dbag a convenient excuse to use "virtual learning" to blame Little Suzy and Johnny's academic failings on something other than their own parental failings

I don't understand the rush to reopen school buildings and pack them in when we're still in a pandemic, barely enough teachers can find vaccinations, and none have been approved for children yet. Politicians don't decide when to reopen - it's up to the virus and our tools to fight it. Does this issue play to some old person demographic? How can they understand virtual instruction when they can't even navigate the internet to find a vaccination? Plenty of studies out there showing kids are really suffering not being in school. Not all kids but a big chunk of them.

March 25, 20214 yr So Joe Biden finally gave a press conference. Without reading the comments, can I assume all the Trumpbots are completely satisfied now and their raging case of BDS simplex 12 is now cured?
March 25, 20214 yr He was not good. He wasn't terrible either, but he was not good. Still better than Trump, but it's a low bar to clear. Why couldn't we nominate someone who closer to 35 than 100? Hell someone who couldn't literally be my grandfather would be nice, and I'm not exactly a spring chicken.
March 25, 20214 yr I wonder if he's on aricept or donepezil? Would they tell us? His eyes do look different than just a couple of years ago. ALZ disease isn't an easy diagnosis to make either. The fumbles are definitely a sign. Also he gets lost in his speech. I thought he found his way as eloquently as he could. If he is medicated, for some it does help with slowing the progression. Not too worried yet..................I fear it's coming though. He will get worse through his term. There will not be a 2nd one. Sad

According to CNN he was brilliant. I'm going with that.
March 25, 20214 yr The good thing is, there's absolutely no downside to having a noticeably frail president who is showing clear signs of cognitive decline.

I don't know what press conference you were watching. I saw a master class on how a leader handles the press and communicates to the American people.

My kids are doing fine with it. I thought sending them back for a few half days a week was a complete waste of time and just kept them 100 percent virtual.
