That's why @JohnSnowsHair is my favorite moderate on this site.

To be fair, most of us simply voted for Biden to get rid of Trump. No one could have predicted the unprecedented levels of excellence that is the Biden presidency.

  • While I disagree with Biden trying to save these idiots from themselves, it just proves what a wonderful human being he is. IMO we should encourage Trumpbots to all give each other Covid so they die o

Now that all of the former pretend libertarians and moderates have embraced "compassionate" open border illegal immigration, I was wondering which one of you would like to volunteer to defend Bidens "massive tax hike"

I cant wait to read a libertarian saying "fair share"

It's actually an incredible phenomenon. They are all convinced their taxes were higher under Trump. The more TDS that person had, the more they believed they were paying in taxes.

Your taxes are going up? Congrats on being the first custodian in history making over 400k a year.

I didn't know a president could hike taxes on his own.  Is that how government works?  Do tell.

I was against Obama raising my taxes. I was against Trump raising my taxes. I am against Biden raising my taxes. Happy?

Hopefully Biden's plan is so ridiculous that it won't be able to get through the Senate.

Actually youve at least remained logically consistent, for the most part.  My disagreements with you have been on merit, except of course when you took a pot shot at me in the Blog #neverforget

Thanks bro!

Surely these businesses will just eat the taxes and there will be virtually no impact.  Thats how reality works, right?

Its truly amazing that TDS turned you into a big government, open border liberal

Oh so youre a "Bidens ideas are so horrible theyll never pass" type of Biden supporter?

Lots of them going around Ive noticed

Maybe you shouldnt have allowed the media to manipulate you into thinking Trump was an evil fascist dictator

@caesar wants all this to pass. He's a super liberal who thinks taking more money from me won't impact my life at all.

Can't wait to see a video of you fighting anti-maskers in the polo section of Walmart.

When was the last time you think I stepped inside a Wal-Mart? I honestly can't recall going since college (there was one in Philly down by the Delaware River).

I think I have been to Costco with the wife a handful of times. Last time was maybe 4 years ago -- they had some sun beds she wanted to buy. Her parents LOOOOOOOOOVE Costco and always mention their sales to her. I went with the understanding that we would go in, buy only those items and immediately leave. She made me go to a Costco to go "shopping" on a weekend back in like 2008...I have never been so simultaneously angry and terrified in my life.

and you gullible fools keep on thinking that corporate tax cuts will trickle down to the worker bees. businesses will do what's best for their bottom line...period.

That's the point Im making

Theyre not going to eat these costs, theyre going to adjust by laying people off or leaving

They might have to sell off all the stocks they bought back with Trump’s corporate tax giveaway. Man that would suck.

we'll see what they do. honestly, most companies are running as lean as possible already & giving sheet yearly increases. idk if joe's gonna get the tax increase he's proposing either.

But you know they won’t do that either.

I think he also believes taking more money from you won’t negatively impact those making less from you (such as at the place you work), but it’ll also have a positive impact on those people.

The media didn't manipulate anyone into thinking Trump was evil.  I knew way before he ran that he was unqualified and incompetent and simply a carnival show man (only fools buy into his nonsense).   His thousands of lawsuits, sham charities and sham universities are enough for any fair-minded person to realize Trump didn't belong in office and was basically selfish and evil.

Trump's tax plan mostly benefited the rich.   Trump said he would do infrastructure.  He didn't.  Biden is trying.  We'll see what happens -- but its not a Biden tax policy to only support the rich.

It depends on how much doesn't it?  If your taxes go up $3.48 -- will you really notice?   That's what I'm talking about.

People always whine about tax changes -- but if you look at the bottom line, it rarely is significant such that there life is impacted.  Now I was highly impacted by Trump and his nonsense with taxes.   I ended up ordering less take out -- so Dasher drivers suffered.

Why can't we try stuff and just see what happens instead of stopping it before it gets out of the gate?  Not all of your predictions will necessarily come true.   If raising corporate taxes ends up being so bad -- then we'll turn it back?     You do know that taxes change all the time -and were way higher for corporations in the 50s and 60s  (and life as we know it still existed).  In fact, the middle class did way better back then (for many reasons though).

I'm saying that Vikas and you won't notice a few dollars more in taxes.  The question is not higher taxes are bad -- the question is HOW HIGH?   If its $3.00 - who cares.  If its $5,000, okay that's bad.  It is just knee jerk to say no more taxes.  The fact is, our infrastructure is failing -- we need to raise that $$$ some how.

Everyone thinks they are Nostradamus with any new law (taxes or otherwise).  Sometimes maybe we should just see what happens instead of crying in advance.

some people keep saying that a couple dollars more out of your check won't make or break you as those dollars keep adding up to much more.

I like the part where there is somehow a tax change that costs me less than $5,000. Yeah...I'm not poor, so...

@caesar, if paying more won't impact your life, then feel free to do so. That number on the tax return is just a required minimum. If you do, I promise to do my part and pay $3.00 more than I owe.
