  • While I disagree with Biden trying to save these idiots from themselves, it just proves what a wonderful human being he is. IMO we should encourage Trumpbots to all give each other Covid so they die o

If I have this right - and I may not - those that are pardoned may still be compelled to testify but they can't be convicted. Why would you do that? So that the historical record is accurate. If that historical record is less than flattering of the Biden administration, oh well. If that testimony implicates others not pardoned, oh well again. If the pardoned refuse to testify or testify falsely, those pardons do not cover crimes committed after the pardon is granted, such as contempt of Court/Congress or perjury. Perhaps a 'creative' prosecutor can come up with something more.

Where to find such a 'creative' prosecutor?  After the N.Y. Court of Appeals gets done overturning Trump's conviction and takes a closer look at those who brought the charges, maybe Alvin Bragg and/or Letita James will be available. They've certainly proven themselves to be 'creative'.

Exactly. The pardons also only cover the federal criminal courts, so they can still be sued civilly or tried criminally in state courts.  They can no longer plead the 5th either so if they're subpoenaed they either answer every question completely and accurately or they can be tried for perjury. If nothing else congressional Republicans should haul them before congress and make them publicly admit everything.

You're a Fing idiot.

Make your excuses, but Biden is everything you claim to hate about Trump.

That's a fact.

It's provable.

You will never forget that here.

Let them believe what they want. The fact is America spoke and the most inept administration is done. I could not imagine what this country would look like if word salad lady and her loony vp had gotten in. Like Trump we dodged a bullet

I'm not here to change anyone's mind.

You'd be as miserable as that old Fer too if you were crushing your nuts with your knees everytime you walked across the living room. 😆

How many US Generals have ever received a presidential pardon?

A  couple of other notes on presidential pardons:

1.  They have to be accepted by the recipient which could be tantamount to an admission of guilt

2.  They don't pardon crimes under state law - so if any of these people who received pardons committed state crimes, there is still criminal exposure

Or taking down Gen Milley’s picture inthe Pentagon. He’s so petty.  Biden was right with the pre emotive pardon Although the man did nothing wrong except speak his mind against The furor. It’s disgusting.

A Presidential Pardon does not take effect unless the suspect accepts it. That according to a little known, 1915 ruling from the Supreme Court, once accepted, the pardon serves as an "imputation of guilt,” or what’s more commonly known as an admission.

Let that last part sink in before you attempt a witty retort.

Why waste cyberspace asking a question like that to a mentally impaired person?

You could also force them to testify against somebody else who is being prosecuted.

The silence from the usual suspects in here tells you everything you need to know.  If Biden wasn't in consideration for the worst president of all time prior to these pardons, he is now.

Close the thread.

"These public servants have served our nation with honor and distinction and do not deserve to be the targets of unjustified and politically motivated prosecutions,"

43 years served and because of a sore loser he was accused of treason and threatened with death!

That's not a good reason for you I know, because you don't live in the same reality as I where all I see is a very flawed mental individual who is NOT very presidential and one day you will find that he really cares NOTHING about any of us, only himself.  He has succeeded in convincing the flock that he is the one being politically persecuted. His lies have become your truths.  It really is an amazing come back, but I just don't believe he will go down as doing anything great.  He's trying to erase J6.  Somehow all those pardons are OK with you.  It's horrible.

cheeto flat out said "i'm your retribution" & that he's going after his "political enemies" & maga world wonders why biden issued preemptive pardons.  it truly is the dumbest cult in american history.
