Hurtscuse 12 took me out🤣. If Hurts had made the most of what he had last year and was being held back, i could see the AJB addition being more impactful. Besides the Reagor drops in the giants game, no one can point to instances where the WR's held Hurts back. I could show a plethora of clips where guys are open and Hurts either doesnt see them or doesnt deliver a good pass. Hopefully the addition of Brown helps him see the field better, process faster & throw with more velocity/distance.

Doesn’t matter who’s the QB if the Oline can’t block, the WR’s can’t get open, the coaches can’t coach and the GM can’t identify talent.

  • So we had to listen to an entire week of "He runs too much".   What will the talking points be this week?  Jalen and this Team can win in multiple ways.  Stop trying to put him in some box where he on

We don't know if the Eagles had the most to offer. There were rumors of the Falcons, Jets, and Lions all being in on an AJ Brown trade, but it was not going to happen because the Titans were not going to budge.

Roseman said that the deal was contingent on him agreeing to a new deal.

The Titans had to have a change of heart, had to accept the trade offer, and Brown had to accept the terms for everything to come together.

This is everything that we know. Now you can make assumptions that this was the best deal that the Titans got, or that was the most money that was offered to Brown. There can also be assumptions made that Brown accepted only this deal because of Hurts and that there were similar deals on the table from other teams that had higher draft picks for the Titans. There can also be an assumption that only the Eagles offered anything of substance and caught the Titans at the right time to make the deal.

They are all assumptions.

We do know that if the Titans offered less money than the Eagles did, he would have stayed in Tennessee.  He would have stayed in Tennesse for $22M.  It took more for him to sign with the Eagles.

Brown spoke to ESPN’s Turron Davenport following the deal and made it clear he wanted to stay in Nashville. He also revealed that the Titans’ offer was for $16 million per year, and up to $20 million annually with incentives.

"This wasn’t my fault,” Brown said of his exit from Nashville. "I wanted to stay, but the deal they offered was a low offer. The deal they offered wasn’t even $20 million a year.”

"I would have stayed if they offered me $22 million,” Brown continued.

Not necessarily when they're getting traded.

True, I guess when they're traded the only real choice they have is report and play or don't. If they like people on the new team it's a plus but not a significant factor.

Jesus Christ.

Justice for Bobby Wizdum.

Here' the top 10 things I expect to hear from the Hurts Haters next season.

10. I can't believe our coaching staff thinks you need two working legs to play qb.

9. Anyone could win behind this offensive line.

8. They had to get his best friend to play wr for him. We never did that for Wentz.

7. I am sick of people counting passing and running touchdowns the same.

6. Of course we are over .500. The NFL simply has too many bad teams.

5. If I said it once I said it 1,000 times, this team runs the ball too much.

4. So what if his completion percentage went from 52 percent to 61 percent, his qbr went from 33 to 48 and his rating went from 77 to 87, it is clear to anyone who actually watches the games that he hasn't improved.

3. Name one great qb who didn't win a Super Bowl before age 25.

2. Minshew is perfect for Sirianni's offense. But the owner clearly has an agenda.

And the number one thing I expect to hear from Hurts Haters next season...

Playoffs? Don't talk about playoffs.

Who has said he's the future? I'm honestly curious

McNabb, Vick, Cunningham, Merrill Reese, Alex Smith, Jim Nagy, Joe Giglio, Dan Orlovsky, Dungy, to name a few. There's also a long list of doubters.

Hurts was down to one leg apparently at the end of the season....but didnt put on any cast until he got his ass handed to him.

9. Anyone could win behind this offensive line.

Minshew did /shrug

8. They had to get his best friend to play wr for him. We never did that for Wentz.

actually traded away Wentz best friend lol not an excuse, just funny you brought it up

7. I am sick of people counting passing and running touchdowns the same.

Only one QB in NFL history has more than 1 season of 10+ rushing touchdowns in their career....and nobody wants him and his laundry list of injuries that come from that style

6. Of course we are over .500. The NFL simply has too many bad teams.

If passing.500 is enough to get off your NFL rocks, go for it. Howie likes picking in the teens.

5. If I said it once I said it 1,000 times, this team runs the ball too much.

we will run all the way home first playoff game....if we make it there

4. So what if his completion percentage went from 52 percent to 61 percent, his qbr went from 33 to 48 and his rating went from 77 to 87, it is clear to anyone who actually watches the games that he hasn't improved.

61% isn't worth bragging about 48 is below average which we all agree he is, and 87 is about what backups pull off...so neat...

3. Name one great qb who didn't win a Super Bowl before age 25.

?????

2. Minshew is perfect for Sirianni's offense. But the owner clearly has an agenda.

Minshew would actually do something with the passing aspect of the offense and Nick is an ex wide receiver working for an owner who loves the air ball. If we attempt the same offense as last year, minshew will start eventually.

And the number one thing I expect to hear from Hurts Haters next season...

Playoffs? Don't talk about playoffs.

almost half the NFC makes it into the playoffs anymore. Get a home playoff game and everybody will have to shut up

So ... Jalen faked the ankle surgery after the season?

The NFL had 12 teams make the playoffs when the league had 28 teams. The league added 4 teams (from 1995-2002) and last year finally added 1 extra playoff spot per conference. Acting like going from 43% (of the teams making the playoffs) to 44% is some kind of huge increase is comical.

So the last 20 years has been 37.5% of the league. Guess going back decades to try to make your point now helps /shrug  and how did the new 7th seed handle being in the playoffs?

And his injury is real. But didn't seem to be an excuse until he got exposed. He won 8 games last year. That's okay for year one first starting season. Hopefully his arrogance was for show his last interview or it will be 5 or less next year

Obviously, the league expanded. With expansion comes things like realignment (like we've already seen) and other changes. We used to have 3 divisions per conference and now we have 4. It was only a matter of time before the playoff format was updated. It's not out of the realm of possibility that the league will look to continue to expand.  I would imagine that if they expand, they would look to add a 5th team to each division eventually (not all at once).

I'm guessing that the goal is to eventually have 40 teams in the league of which 16 would make the postseason. IMO, the increased number of regular season games and the international marketing are precursors to eventual expansion.

This is purely opinion and has zero to do with my thoughts on Hurts success or lack of...the last seed of the playoffs and pro bowl alternate are the things that frustrate me more than anything. I understand that the NFL may be the greatest business in the sporting world, but I feel they cheapen the awards by having more . I feel 6 worked leaving 10 at home. I also feel the pro bowl needs to be rethought. Screw the game. Give them the tag pro bowler, give them a league paid bonus, and no need to cheapen it with alternates when winners can't go

The Pro Bowl, the game itself is pointless. The current scheduling is idiotic. They haven't done anything (change-wise) that has interested NFL fans. We love football --- not whatever that is. So I agree it should be more like an honor roll. Just create the team and then show the amount of votes everybody else got (fan balloting is irrelevant).

I don't really care one way or the other if a team is the 6th seed in a six team format or a 7th seed in a seven team format. It's not like the system was implemented after the regular season ended. It was set in place before the season began. So teams know what's at stake. If a low seed team isn't deserving, they should be bounced in the 1st week. Nothing is "cheapened" by playoff brackets. In 2020 fans were complaining because the NFCE was going to send a losing team (potentially a 6 win team) into the playoffs. This 7th seed is a way to ensure a more deserving team still gets in.

Philly 9, Arizona 8, Rams 9, Minnesota 8, Dallas 9, Tampa 9, Atlanta 8,  49ers 8, Dallas 8, Chicago 10. Only one year was the 7th seed 2 games above 500. So it's a participation trophy. I get it that every once in awhile a weak weak team wins the division, but only 1 out of 10 years would the argument really stand that you are keeping a good team out

We've only had the 7th seed for 1 year. It's not about what the record was for the final playoff seed each year, the question is how often has a team with a better record missed the playoffs because of a division winner with a worse record?

A 7th seed was added in 2020. It’s been two seasons now.

Hurts haters list is a bit more simple:

1) Focus intently on every negative Hurts stat. Ignore every stat or ranking which suggests he might be doing okay.

2) Post a "Is it time to bench Hurts” poll after any bad game.

3) Proclaim Minshew as a much better option after he beats the worst defense in the league who were preparing for Hurts.

4) Post "Hurts sucks” every so often, knowing they will get likes from the haters crew.

5) Ignore that Devonta Smith broke the Eagles receiving record for a rookie. Claim Smith would have had 1600 yards and 10 TDs if we had Tannehill.

6) Focus on Eagles having good O-Line/Smith. Ignore that two of his primary targets are a 6th round pick and Jalen Reagor.

He was ranked throughout the mid 20s throughout his entire stat sheet that didn't involve his legs. That's not focusing on his negative, it's stating the obvious

2) Post a "Is it time to bench Hurts” poll after any bad game.

considering he had more lackluster games than impressive ones... people are going to question his ability to be a franchise guy

3) Proclaim Minshew as a much better option after he beats the worst defense in the league who were preparing for Hurts.

This game occured right after Hurts lost to a team equally as bad and a team with LESS hope than the Jets franchise has this season.

4) Post "Hurts sucks” every so often, knowing they will get likes from the haters crew.

film says it in a language that others can't understand at times so we feel like we are doing the service of interpretation

5) Ignore that Devonta Smith broke the Eagles receiving record for a rookie. Claim Smith would have had 1600 yards and 10 TDs if we had Tannehill.

took an extra game to get there while being the focal point of the passing offense. Chances are with a better QB with the same focus, he definitely gets to 1200.

6) Focus on Eagles having good O-Line/Smith. Ignore that two of his primary targets are a 6th round pick and Jalen Reagor.

We could never ignore them on the field as much as hurts does

Didn't Hurts go into surgery on his ankle 3 days prior to the Pro Bowl.

That doesn't make you an alt to anything.

Under no circumstance was he going to play in that game.

Mitchell Trubisky was a pro bowl alternate his second year.  His numbers were better then Hurts 2nd year

Mitch last year as a starter he had 16tds to 8 ints in 9 games (6-3 record) and was given up on. Only losing season was rookie year as well. His career is interesting because it isn't riddled in failure, just in not being good enough *looks at hurts fans*

His team's trajectory sure changed after they gave up on him. Clearly the replacements made all the difference in the world.
