I remember that was one of the few games I did not watch live, we were driving back from the shore. Which was great, because I couldn't see how horrible those colors looked until later. Hate the color scheme, but that was fun to rewatch.

April 17, 20242 yr I read somewhere that Dubai cloudseeds to create rain, as a spectacle in the city and I think for other reasons like having a water supply and to water plants. Is that true? That doesn't mean this rain was seeded, but it was very recently that I had read about that.

Is that true? That doesn't mean this rain was seeded, but it was very recently that I had read about that. They do, but this is a sizable regional storm likely unrelated to the seeding. Dubai is build on packed soil that does not allow much natural drainage, coupled with terrible sewage and drainage infrastructure. They simply ignored the risk of flooding. That may seem reasonable in a "desert" city, but even with as little rain as Dubai gets they have serious flooding issues more regularly than you'd think.
