If $14 million is spent on Super Bowl ads, is it going to generate more than $14 million in food donations for the hungry? I suppose that is the question.

Just like every other commercial hopes it can generate sales. It was a sales pitch just like all the others. More members or more contributors, it’s the same.

Buying food and feeding hungry people are not the goal of the group that bought the tv commercial. Why would they need money to buy food when they aren’t trying to feed anyone? The question is why are you trying to force a goal onto a group that has a website telling you what their goal is? (Its not to raise money to feed the hungry)

If they were sharing the love of Jesus they would buy meals for the hungry. But I guess that is not thought-provoking enough, is it?

I think their goal is to wake up Christians in America to see how they’ve lost the message of Christ completely and the majority of the religious right sows hate and division. They also want to share that message to a diverse audience who doesn’t go to a church on Sundays because they may have been on the receiving end of that hate and division. What more diverse audience than the Super Bowl? It’s a message not a food drive commercial.
