We've balanced PoC'ing new tech to understand its true potential with setting appropriate expectations for the business fairly well, though the internal sales guys always fall for the marketing. They're the hardest to talk down off the ledge.
December 27, 2025Dec 27 Back in 2002 at my old job, they spent a ton of money to make Second Life their new way of doing virtual meetings.I think everyone except for a few higher ups who made that decision saw what a massive flop that would be. Got pulled in under 3 monthsEdit: holy crap, it was somewhere between 2006-2008. I’m getting old.
