I won't spoil it if you haven't seen it, but I laughed harder at that bit than anything else in the last 5 years or so. The only thing that comes close is Segura's bit about how he got his mom high on gummies.

Same for guys like Bargatze. They're too damn good at stand-up to find their footing in sketch comedy. Not to take away anything from improv / sketch comedy itself, but it can be a more physical form of humor that doesn't always translate well to stand-up. Jim Carrey was prolific at both, Steve Martin too, but then there's guys like Farley who might be the best physical comedian in history, but would've struggled at stand-up. Two different crafts, with two different skill sets.

I'm not saying he wouldn't be good, but he'd be lost in the weeds a bit, whereas with stand-up he can command the stage and do his own thing rather than be boxed in by the sketch format and what would fly on SNL. Just like Bargatze was hilarious in this episode, but if he were doing SNL full-time, he'd be missing out somewhat on building his career in stand-up.

Like I said earlier, that George Washington bit would never get green lit for SNL but it was one of the best bits I've seen in years.
