No it wasn't. His right knee was down ... was moving when the left knee hit. But... Dallas.

Total Dallas call.  No denying that.  Clear as day.  Birds got Fed

How about that DeSean Jackson?  I guess he doesn't get hurt every time he touches the ball, huh?

And, genius, per Doug, he actually did get hurt on the play.  So there’s that.

Look at it this way. Dallas wins, gets curb stomped in round one then as a reward gets to draft 19 and play a first place schedule.

I don't like the idea of them getting playoff experience and confidence with a new coach. Would rather they sit at home like us.

Who said 40 times a game. How about 20+ in a game that is pretty much do or die playoffs after being preserved all year.

He has to actually stay healthy enough to run it 20plus a game. The guy even in this game kept coming out cause he kept getting nicked up. On top of that the Cowboys just kept scoring. They didn’t seem to mind throwing it when it mattered. They ran the ball late cause they were up.

There are other RBs on the team last I checked even if that is the case.

The only hit he took involved a flip ...

He said his "injury got worse as the game progressed". Not sure if it means he was injured on that play but doing a backflip into the end zone when he scored probably wasn't the brightest idea.

Was wondering what happened to him. He should just retire.

Bad game for sure, but an inexperienced player like him  can learn from this and get better. The dude came into this game off a pretty darn good game. There's no financial committment or draft pick investment to worry about --- we can afford to groom him over a period of time.

They haven’t developed a single player on defense since I don’t know when...maybe the days of bobby Taylor.  They cut two talented players who are producing on other teams while we start cashiers from 7-11.  Until gym shirts is gone, I don’t want any projects on defense.  Draft and acquire talent for the next DC but this thought they can develop a tire salesman into an nfl starter is an absolute joke

He was benched.  Doug won’t say it but he should.  He didn’t like the showboating.  So he made sure he didn’t get another play.

Desean remains the most dangerous and best deep threat on the team and it’s not close.  I won’t argue that.

he also has no future here, remains a jackass, and does get hurt every time he takes the field.

Scott isn’t that good, Clement isn’t either, Howard’s already been cut by another team, and it’s the other guy they rarely use. Does any of these guys make you feel like they’re something special? They used Howard and Scott today and they didn’t bring that much to the table.

But you got your highlight.

It was nice to see a true vertical deep shot go for a TD.

Scott is fine as a change of pace. Howard can get some tough yards when needed. Whole point is to keep some better balance and stay out of those 3rd and long situations as much as possible. If you don't call them you see precisely what you saw today. A very bad defense pinning their ears back and playing the predictability of the pass play because we made ourselves one dimensional. Self-inflicted.

Sweat has progressed nicely and is looking like a future star. Singleton  has been getting better and better. Edwards has improved over 2 seasons. None of these guys are "there" yet, but at least they are trending in the right direction. None of them brought high expectations with them when they arrived here --- so you give them time so long as they are taking advantage of opportunities.

Hard to stay out of third and long with so many of these presnap penalties. You’re not running your way out of that kind of stuff.

Could be.  I'm sure he didn't like the backflip into the end zone...and with good reason with DJax's injury history.

That said, he puts himself in a pretty bad predicament if he ends up losing the game when the deep ball to Jackson clearly was working....which is exactly what ended up happening.  Hopefully this loss doesn't end up costing him his job...or he might be second guessing that one.

I disagree. You still have to run the rock there to chip away. Going pass happy puts your QB at risk. We are talking the worst rush defense in the league here.

Howard has proven in the NFL he's effective when given 15+ touches per game. So --- yeah --- I actually do have a lot of confidence in him if we commit to the running game (along with Sanders. )

All three of these guys concern me. Sweat still can’t stay healthy. Singleton and Edwards look like nice finds, but compared to what exactly? I mean they’re better than what we had out there, but what I tend to find with most of these undrafted types is eventually teams figure them out and they fall back to earth. You might can get away with one guy like that, but when you have two it’s only a matter of time before things fall apart and I’m not talking about 5 years from now.

Teams when they’re behind always go "pass happy.” It’s nothing new actually. When you’re behind multiple scores you throw more. When you’re up you run more especially late in the game.
