All three of these guys concern me. Sweat still can’t stay healthy. Singleton and Edwards look like nice finds, but compared to what exactly? I mean they’re better than what we had out there, but what I tend to find with most of these undrafted types is eventually teams figure them out and they fall back to earth. You might can get away with one guy like that, but when you have two it’s only a matter of time before things fall apart and I’m not talking about 5 years from now.

Singleton looks to be the real deal.  His PFF pass rush grade is among the top 10 in the entire NFL.  He's also top 30ish out of all NFL linebackers against the run.  Solid find and a keeper, imo.

Teams when they’re behind always go "pass happy.” It’s nothing new actually. When you’re behind multiple scores you throw more. When you’re up you run more especially late in the game.

2 scores for a good part of the game. That's not enough to go crazy with the pass. They had a number of opportunities to run the ball down the stretch before Dallas eventually broke it open.

No offense, but that's just pessimism --- not fact. Optimism isn't fact either, but it doesn't make sense to paint a negative spin on something good just for the sake of feeling bad about it.

Sweat has progressed nicely and is looking like a future star. Singleton  has been getting better and better. Edwards has improved over 2 seasons. None of these guys are "there" yet, but at least they are trending in the right direction. None of them brought high expectations with them when they arrived here --- so you give them time so long as they are taking advantage of opportunities.

I feel like we’ve been hearing about sweat for 10 years now.  He’s improved, but he’s not an every down DE and probably won’t ever be in their rush the qb by committee defense.  Way too early to talk about singleton.  He’s the only healthy lb in the roster and built like a safety but probably not a safety or a true linebacker.  Too early.  Edwards is probably the better option in terms of potential and they don’t even play him.  My guess is they don’t want the criticism is he doesn’t play to fans expectations or they just honestly don’t know what they have and how to use him.  He’s falls into the category of talent without proper coaching, and will probably thrive somewhere else in 3 years.

Eagles threw it 39 times and ran it 29 times. Not as out of whack as you’re making it out to be.

It’s my experience from seeing it before. You can call it whatever you want, but it doesn’t mean I’m wrong. You have been defending JJAW all year, and that doesn’t mean you’re right with that optimism.

Hurts did some running on called pass plays. All 9 of his carries were not called runs. Plus he was sacked. Backs accounted for 20 carries across 3 players.

Could be.  I'm sure he didn't like the backflip into the end zone...and with good reason with DJax's injury history.

That said, he puts himself in a pretty bad predicament if he ends up losing the game when the deep ball to Jackson clearly was working....which is exactly what ended up happening.  Hopefully this loss doesn't end up costing him his job...or he might be second guessing that one.

The reason hurts had some much time early was desean opening things up and forcing more guys into coverage.  The second he scored and never touched the field again, hurts began getting pressured and Dallas brought more blitzes.  If doug benched him purposely which I truly believe that’s what happened then he played right into Dallas hands.  And he should be fired for it.

Yeah I think I want to see them both stay healthy and consistent before I’m ready to call Singleton or Edwards legit. I do think they both were pleasant surprised, but Boston Scott was a pleasant surprise last year too. Things can change.

As a rookie, Sweat was a good pass rusher with a lot to learn. Last year he added weight and improved technique. This year he showed improvement as a run defender as well. He's ready to take on a starting role if needed. Sure, his knee will always be a question, but it has held up so far. It's not like he's been Buckhalter out there.

Have I? Or do you guys just keep bringing it up?

Hurts rushes are still rushes. He only had 9 today and three were sacks. He had arguable the same amount of scrambles as rushes. I’d have to go back and look at it, but still you’re talking about at most a 3-6 run pas difference. Again that’s not as outlandish as you’re making it out to be. It’s pretty par for the league with teams behind in games.

You have, but it’s a lot harder to Do when your guy isn’t even dressing anymore.

What changed with Scott? He's averaging 4.8 ypc this season.

You have.

I wouldn't call an improvised run by a QB committing to the run game. If you're sitting here trying to tell me we committed to the run today and we were more balanced  than it seemed, we can just stop arguing now., Guarantee you he dropped back to pass close to 50 times today.

We know Jags go Lawrence.

Jets probably go Fields

Miami probably goes Sewell to protect Tua.

I have no idea what Atlanta does.

We probably end up 5th, assuming we lose next week....so...?

Fields hasn't played well this year.  Many holes in his game exposed.  He is a candidate to fall long and hard in the 1st round

Nope --- you guys just believe in the strawmen you create.

I mean, honestly, it's funny to me how simply not calling a player a bust turns that player into "my guy" and somehow that means I think the player is "so great."

Maybe it’s mostly the returns that have annoyed me so much, but i don’t feel like he’s been as good of a receiver in the backfield this year or as much of a big play threat this year.

Dude the former skins dropped back 50 times with two horrible quarterbacks this week. It happens all the time

Lack of opportunities.

I do think he was miscast as a KR, but I thought Scott filled in nicely for Sanders when needed and he did have a huge, clutch game winning catch for us this year.

Because you’re the only guy there posting videos of the guy running routes and doing nothing else. 😂🤣😂

Point is it shouldn't.... when you're playing the WORST rush defense in the league. Do you not see the flaw in that? I can see if you're down 4 scores early in the game or something but that wasn't the case.

Might be being generous with 8 bud. It’s a real bad roster that is in terrible cap condition, but Howie’s coming back for some reason.

With Howie picking the players we're looking at 3-5 wins a year for the foreseeable future.

Exactly Howie now has to draft his way out of this? Yea right!!

I don’t think he’s a bad player, but there’s no way that I would consider him as some kind of starter type and he’s not a kick returner. Getting back to Singleton and Edwards who both have been a nice surprise this year I still don’t believe the Eagles have fixed this problem. I hope you’re all right they did though.
