I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

What's the difference between the Eagles and a Lightbulb?  You can unscrew a lightbulb!

Add Joe Buck to the Punch in the face club. Did anyone say Bruce Arians ?

I can see Eagle's fans easily hating this guy

Lol, yeah growing up in Utah in an affluent neighborhood I knew way too many kids like Wilson that just rub me the wrong way, white rich mormon kids who think they are entitled, not that I know Wilson but he fits a utah stereo type, I think Philly might be a bit of a culture shock for wilson though guys like chad lewis did ok in Philly, definitely is a different mindset.

Having said that Wilson is a pretty good prospect, he has a pretty good arm he reminds me of matthew stafford the way he can chuck the ball from different arm angles and this past year he was really good going deep and accurate on the run.

Speaking of running he's not a blazer like jackson more like an  aaron rodgers, and while I think he has a lot of potential and skill I'm  not sure Philly would be a good fit for him, though with Andy gone no one will accuse the coach of favoring mormon kids.

Avery has a nickle LB has a lot of potential.

Avery has talent, but needs a coach who knows how to use him. Schwartz had zero interest in altering his defense to maximize Avery.

I dunno, I just don't see it.  He has a Dwight Freeney build, short and squatty.  He may have tested well but in his limited snaps, I didn't see anything that tells me he has the change of direction to be a LB...let alone the instincts and knowledge.

So now we have 2 linebackers who have to learn how to play linebacker in Davion Taylor and Genard Avery.  BRILLIANT!

This is a let's save face because pick 101 would be better to have right now.

Apparently Pederson is working on a second book:

Ball-less: A tell all of how Carson Wentz couldn't face me.

I am sure idiots like @T-1000 will take the work of Schefter over Doug Pederson.

I am sure idiots like you will believe Wentz's church buddy Rob Maaddi on the Carson PR trail over the most connected and respected NFL insider in the business.

I figured it would be very vanilla

Yeah but his guy will get hated right outta the gate. He'll need to at least grow a beard. He looks like a teenage girl

You think that dork could grow a beard?

I bet he would be the type to have a few wispy lip hairs and then random patches

Should have never brought him back

I was fine with bringing him back. Trading for him, giving him a big extension and making him a centerpiece of the offense were the mistakes.

I have been binging a lot of reports as well. Curious for your thoughts on a couple of things I repeatedly noticed.

Lance: Footwork is inconsistent as he resets his feet unnecessarily, and can sometimes be hesitant to pull the trigger

Fields: Very slow at getting off the initial read

Wilson: Poor throwing mechanics, his top flight arm masks this to a degree, but won't at the pro level.

Fields was much better going through progressions last season. He isn’t there yet but he did improve in that area.

Zach Ertz apparently has some teams interested. Rams, Seahawks, Chargers and yep those Colts have all expressed interest per reports.

If the Chargers are interested in Ertz I wonder if we could swing a trade for Nassir Adderly.  Probably not but would be nice to add a young safety.  He's been  hurt a bit but he has a ton of potential.

Random thought here but I think we're going to see a lot of people confusing Greg Rousseau and Jaelen Phillips when talking about defensive ends.  Both wore 15 while playing D-End at Miami.  I thought Phillips flashed more on film but Rousseau is the physical specimen at 6-6 260.  Phillips is 6-4, 260ish.

Rousseau is the cream of this years not too exciting crop at defensive end and will probably go in round 1.  I would be in favor of adding Phillips in the 2nd or 3rd.

Agreed. Avery sounds like another Fastball Andy Reid type who never amounts to nothing.

Nope, not even close.  Maybe a 3-4 rush OLB.  Desperate move to make the trade seem worth it.  I really hope they don't feel the need to keep him on the team to justify trading the 4th round pick but they might not have a choice.

If they keep 5 LBs there's a good chance 2 of them are still learning how to play the position.  Your Philadelphia Eagles gentleman.

Desean Jackson is released

I'll take their teammate , Roche , over both. I think he will excel in a 34 , loved him at temple and he did well for canes.

Just like 2020, we spent another mid round pick on a project linebacker.
