The thing is, the Eagles rotate their D-Ends so much that it's almost silly to pay more than 1 "starter".  BG played the most at DE with 70% of the snaps.  Barnett played under 50%.  I don't want to invest $10 million/year in a guy playing 50% of the snaps and playing average at best when he does play.  Not that I want to but you can get nearly the same production with a guy like Vinny Curry here on a 1-year $2 million contract and a rookie combining to take up his snaps.

You can check my post from a few weeks ago discussing this issue.  Until the Eagles have a DE worthy of a long term deal, there is no reason to lock up an average player just to fill the hole.  Rent some veterans until you find the next guy.  A long term deal just hampers the Eagles and doesn't let them make other moves.

Schwartz rotated DL a lot. Doesn’t mean Gannon is going to do that. He may be looking for more consistency and production from the starters.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Tyrod Taylor to the Texans, 1 year worth ''up to'' 12.5 million.

Can someone explain this to me?

Andy Dalton is the new Bears starting QB, lol.

Lol, Pace and Nagy should just quit before they get fired

No chance in hell we are getting Brissett

Yep, Brian Hoyer here we come.

Chiefs release RB Damien Williams.

Wonder how expensive he'll be. Would be a nice RB2 if the price was right.

He would be a great addition.  Interesting to see after he sat out 2020.  I really liked his game with KC.

Patriots signing Mills, Agholor and getting two TE's to run a ton of 12 is what the Eagles did in 2019 and sucked. Now he's saying they should sign our #1 WR from 2019, Robert Davis

As long as the Eagles aren't one of the teams.  That would be great.

Don’t hold your breath. You know Sirianni will want his guy.

Tyrod is going to be the starter in Houston whether Watson is traded or not since he said he won't play if they keep him.

I think we can still get Jacoby for cheaper.

We will get cap room.  And they will get some secondary help.  They have to.  They defensive back end players.  Not WANT......NEED!!  It'll happen.  We'll sign some in FA.

Yup .... we’re getting a big power back, too .....

Sirianni will take whoever the Eagles give him and be happy with it.  Nothing about his press conference gave any indication that he has the cojones to challenge the owner on his desire to have Hurts be the guy in 2020.

Whose excited for a Mitch Trubisky/Jalen Hurts camp competition?

Not playing in 2020, he's got some extra tread on the tires.

Always liked his game. Good pass-catching RB and power runner.

He's not even 40, and got a chance to be the HC. Challenging his boss would not be showing balls, it would be downright stupid.

Howie and Lurie have stated this is a rebuilding year.

Lurie has been through this before, the last two seasons under Rhodes and the first under Andy, 1997-99, 6-9-1, 3-13, 5-11.

Since then the worst stretches, 8-8, 4-12, and 7-9, 7-9.

I think Lowie have low expectations in terms of wins and losses the next two seasons, they're not going to be adding many FAs, either cheap guys on one year deals or a couple targeted guys in their prime next year. What they want is to build a young roster that's poised to make a move in 2023.

Someone's gonna pay him unfortunately.   Wonder if you see a team like Carolina pounce on him and make it easier for them to deal CMAC for Watson.

Sidenote, I wish CBS would carry our games, would love to have Kevin Harlan calling our games.

This made me laugh

Ertz contract position could be a ploy to get more guaranteed money from wherever he goes - his big issue with staying with the Eagles.

I’m for also chase Daniel cause we haven’t wasted enough money with him yet

Howie not signing one of Brissett, Tyrod and Dalton is great news.

Going back to Luries "Build around Hurts and don't bring in competition" report, if that's not a smoke screen, what a f'ing dumb thing to put out there a week before FA. At least let whatever bum you bring in think he at least has a chance of competing.

.Good.  Spending what little money we have on a backup qb for a rebuilding team would have been dumb.

I still think its going to be Matt Barkley.
