I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Andy Dalton isn't THAT bad of a quarterback.  Guy who's been a starter in the league with limited success and I could be wrong here but he hasn't had the same offensive coordinator for back-to-back seasons during his entire career.  The Bengals are a mess of a franchise.  He was surrounded by talent but zero consistency in what they did from an offensive standpoint.

I think rolling with Jalen Hurts and Joe Flacco is much worse than having Andy Dalton for 1-year $10 million.  We are the laughing stock of the league.

Dalton is that bad, at this point in his career. He had great skill players in Dallas and did squat.

Rolling with Hurts is so much better and I don’t even like him that much.

I think we're underrating Dalton a little too much now. He's a decent quarterback. Let's not forget that Dallas was banged up on the OL almost as bad as we were last year, too. Dalton isn't the answer for the Bears, but if there is enough around him, he'll do well.

Dalton has no arm strength left, Hurts would be a better bet b/c he can make plays with his legs.

Chicago doesn't have a plethora of weapons, Robinson, 35 year old Graham at TE, Montgomery at RB, maybe Kmet at TE. The OL is meh.

Pray for him.

So I have read about the CB prospects but haven’t really watched them. Good tape plus elite athleticism = really good prospect.

Im good with either.

I really like Surtain, as a S...Horn is my guy at CB in this draft.  Granted I haven't looked super deep into the pool this year like normal.

Been married for 20 years this past October.  No dating app.  No awkwardness.   Met my wife on a church youth retreat.  Started with 'group dates', just hanging out with a big group, and then moved to one on one dating.

Met my wife when I was 16, but didn't formally meet her until 18. We both worked at a retail store called Murphy's Mart. Such a beautiful thing and I was shy, took me forever to ask her out and she said no the first time. 😁 Turns out she was dating some clown I knew nothing about. I waited a couple of days and went for it again she dumped him and we've been more or less together ever since. We did break up for a little while around age 19 then got back together and were married just before I turned 21.

To this day I say it is the best sales job I ever did. Best thing is she doesn't know that she's wayyyy out of my league

I've been saying this for some time on here.  I really think, despite his 40 time that Surtain will be a better safety i the NFL.  HIs game didn't match his workout numbers.  He seemed stiff in coverage.  Not a knock on him at all.  He was one of if not the top CB last year.  Horn is nice, his workout is going to push him way up now but I don't know how high I want a corner.  I think you can get one of the UGA corners at 37.

Washington's desire to not have any size at WR is a choice.

lol   Isn't that always the best!?!

Nice story.  My wife and I met while in college.  I was a sophomore, she was a freshman (at different schools, but attended the same church).  We waited until graduating before getting married.  She was 22, I was 23 (Stupid Drexel and their 5 year program!!!)

There are 30 genders?  Damn I’m old, I just found out that you can’t say transvestite anymore.
Those of us old enough to remember when the Phillies had Dave Stewart, that may have been the first time they heard that word, and now it’s a bad one.

Anyway on a serious note, I’ve decided after 10 years to start playing golf again, no more than once a week but even in 10 years clubs have changed, I’ve been looking at Iron sets and now they are starting with a 5 or a 6 iron, and usually stopping at PW.  I’m hoping to be around $550-$600 for just the irons, which by the prices I’m seeing isn’t much at all.   I figure a grand to fill out a bag, but should I go used?  Or are these game improvement irons I’m seeing worth it?   Driver and 3 wood will be new.

The game improvment irons will help. The tech has come a long way and dont go used- worn grooves

but what you can do to keep cost down is is shop the previous generation models. I do that with wedges and it saves me a third.

ping just game out with the 425s so look around for the 410s on tgw and other sites. Places will be happy to clear them out

He produces though.  He's the kind of what Greg Ward should aspire to be.  10.5 ypc over his career, 13 TDs.  If they sign Humphries, he's the slot guy and it allows them to move Samuel all over the formation, McLaurin is your deep play threat and Logan Thomas owns the middle.

All Fitzpatrick has to do is manage that offense and get the ball to those guys.  I can see them going after Najee Harris if he drops to the middle of the 2nd round.

Rivera is going to have a very nice team.

@BigEFly

In the ground currently:  Arugula, Beets, Carrots, Assorted lettuces, Celery, Radishes, spinach, peas...

Outside in containers, soon to be transplanted to their final location:  leeks, onions (globe and green), cabbage.

Starts currently indoors, but not time to go out just yet: cilantro, rosemary, oregano, basil, assorted flowers for the wife.

Lost my tomato and peppers starts due to negligence.  Left them outside over night on a night that was supposed to stay over 40... but it ended up dropping to 31.  Low tunnel was no protection for that cold on the little ones.   Had I placed the floating row cover over top in addition to the low tunnel, it might have saved them.   So, I will just have to help the local economy in a couple weeks and buy some transplants from a local family run nursery.

Waiting about 4 weeks to start: beans, cucumbers, zucchini and butternut squash.

Fall succession: lettuces, arugula, spinach, rutabagas, carrots, beets, swiss chard, cabbage, green onions, and broccoli (to overwinter and flower in the early, early spring).   These will go under a layer (maybe two) of floating row cover... if two, they will be kept separated by hoops, and a low tunnel plastic over the top when the first hard frost comes due... likely around Thanksgiving, give or take two weeks.  Hopefully by that time there will be enough growth that they can overwinter nicely, and I can harvest fresh veggies throughout most of the winter (after the temps rise above freezing).    This will be the first year trying to overwinter things like this.  But, since it's basically just costing pennies compared to buying fresh at that time of the year to use the garden and start from seeds... its worth the experiment.  And I will be running the pruned and overwintering pepper plants experiment as well.  (These will get a nice blanket of straw around them, held in place by a small tomato cage and covered with a row cover... all under the larger row covers and low tunnel) I've read its harder to do with the sweets, but they are our preference.   So, if even only one manages to survive, that's a major victory for me and a boon of bigger, better, earlier peppers should follow the next summer.

Fitz' best years have been throwing back-shoulder fades/YOLO balls to big WRs (Marshall/Decker in NY, Parker/Gesicki in Miami, Evans/Godwin in Tampa).

It's the opposite in Washington. It's just an odd fit.

I don’t think fitz starts

She knows.  When it comes to this type of league women always know.  So do their friends, sisters, mothers.
