I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Can we even afford the #2 slotted salary?  Chase Young's 2020 cap hit was almost $7 million.  Plus the rest of the draft and UDFA to bring in.

I was listening to 97.5 and I think Mike Garafolo was on. He was saying that he thinks the Eagles are stockpiling picks to try to trade up to 2 for Zach Wilson. Don't shoot the messenger.

So they want to trade up to 2 to get Zach Wilson and their solution was to trade down to 12.  Garafolo is a moron.

Kind of hilarious though about what Lurie said of Hurts and now this lol

OK, just to humor this game, I guess you'd trade for Watson, convert his 2021 salary to a signing bonus and amortize it over 5 years. If the base salary is dropped to 910k (league min) and you can amortize the balance over the contract, you can get his 2021 cap number down to ~$2,836,000.

But the Texans have to eat $51.2 million. And he needs to be able to play.

I just don't see it.

I'd wait on Watson anyways.  I spent some time reading all the victim statements.  It's either an elaborate defamation/extortion plot or a very disturbingly consistent pattern of sexual harassment/assault.  All encounters are eerily similar and the fact that he was preying on mostly unlicensed massage therapists or some weren't even in that field through instagram suggests he knew he might be able to take advantage of these women.

6.39 million for 2021.  I still don't think they have updated the full Brooks restructure, and we should be trading Ertz, so we should have 13 million in cap room right now.

Actually it made some sense. Trade back, get another 1st round pick next year, trade this year's first, two first rounders next year and maybe an extra pick to go up to 2.

It's smokescreen season. Can't believe anything you read or hear.

I like the trade a lot. I've been saying for months that this teams cupboard has nothing in it but some roughed up saltine packets. Our best players are all 30 and over and expensive and we barely have anyone else young that is actually good and one of them is a RB. This team is in major rebuild mode. They need quality and quantity all over the place immediately plus they need to start drafting guys for when our main core hangs them up or falls off a cliff. Easily a three year situation maybe even 4.  Whether they admit it or not it's just what it is.
Howie actually had some success in this range. Brandon Graham and Fletcher comes to mind. You can get a CB, DE, OL maybe even WR or LB there at 12. I would be fine with another small trade back to like 16 nabbing a third or so. Tank next year, pick 1 or 2, get your QB on a five year deal without sacrificing any picks and fantastic. You can trade one of next years ones to stack the cupboard even more which will be fine since the amount of players that's needed

It actually makes sense.  If you trade 6, Eagles 2022 1st and Colts conditional 2022 1st, you give the Jets 3 firsts and don't have a 1st next year.

Now, you trade 12, the Dolphins and Eagles 2022 1st, and if Wentz holds up his end of the bargain, the Jets get 3 firsts and the Eagles still have a 1st in 2022.

Also an unusual draft this year where as 2022 should be more normalized so the pick might have more value in that draft with more knowns, a non covid type college season and a combine. The Jets might want more first round picks in 2022 draft then the difference in 6 slots in a unusual draft process and less firsts in 2022

Texans are only left with $21.6M in dead money if they trade him

My bad, was looking at the amount if he is cut.

I love the idea of having 3 possible 1st rounders next year when the draft and combine will likely be back to normal. I don’t watch college ball so don’t know if next year will be a good draft for QB or some other position

Seems clear what coaches and FO think of Hurts

3 first round picks to move up from #6 to #3?  That sounds like way too much. Sorry, two 1st's is what I meant to say.

Whoever leaked that to Rapoport should be launched into the sun

It’s 2 but if you love a qb and think he’s a franchise QB you go get him. That’s been the eagles mo. Basically gave up 2 to get wentz from 8 to 2. Also gave up a 2nd in 2018. 3rd in 2016. And a 4th in 2016.

8 to 2 is different than 6 to 3.  I think that is way too much unless the QB is a sure take.

Why wouldn’t the Jets have taken the Niners’ deal?

They’d have to move to 2 now not 3. Wentz deal to go from 8 to 2 was 2 firsts, 2nd, 3rd and a 4th. they sit at 12 now. So to move up to 2 likely is costing you 3 firsts as the niners just paid 3 first to move from 12 to 3.

6 to 12 to get to 3...makes sense 🤣

Maybe the Jets were asking for more than that. But makes sense the niners went to 3 if they wanted jones or Lance. Cause both if not at least one would still be on the board.

This trade is a win. I’d be happy with any of these picks at 12.

Was it really?  I can't remember that far back.  And we didn't swap or get anything back?

Actually, it does.

I thought ads were only seen by guests? Is there another company for ads?

That sucks. Wonder if a lot of sites possibly leave AdSense because of that. Always did seem like a big risk
