Yes to any of the first three and a first.

Honestly, all players projected in that range plus a future first would be my choice. It’s a great trade by Howie.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Farley having back surgery for an injury that occurred a few years prior is a concern for me. I would rather they go Horn.  Back surgeries can be unpredictable. He is supposed to be back to normal in a couple of months, but...who knows.

No guys who had recent surgery please.

Take Horn in that scenario.

Then maybe luck out and have Grant or Moehrig available in RD2

Secondary rebuilt.

No Horn in round one. 🤮

I also like Jaelan Phillips in round 3 if he lasts until then.  He had a very nice 2020 and hard to believe, he's actually the same size as Chase Young.  Maybe I thought Young was taller than he is but they are the exact same at 6-5 265.

Is Quincy Roache a positionless player in the 4-3?  I love his game too but he has 3-4 all over him.

Miami's pro day is Monday.  Will be interesting to see how these guys measure and test.

And yes, Brevin Jordan would be a great mid-round tight end.  Would be thrilled to get him now that the Pitts dream is 99% dead.

Waddle, Waddle, Waddle.  All about him at 12 IMO.  Unless Lance is there (he won’t be), then things get complicated.

His 40 next week bears watching.  Pop the chute early Jalen-you'll have no chance at lasting if you run like I'm expecting............

Kwity Payne or Caleb Farley for me. I was pro-skill position offensive player all the way until today. Howie had his chance to fix the offense and can’t do that, apparently. The defense deserves a playmaker

Farley is having back surgery

So, if Waddle is gone, then which one of these guys would you take if they were there:  Smith, Slater, Parsons, Horn, Surtain, Farley, or Paye?

Parsons...I want to know if our defensive coaches think he can be a pass rusher.  As an off ball LB, forget about it.  If they have a plan to use him as a relentless pass rusher, sure, I’d be open to it.

Paye?  Interesting.

Slater?  Not sexy, but Lane needs to be replaced and this is a good football player.

Surtain?  Meh, could do worse.

Farley would be off my first round board with the spine surgery.

What if they had the opportunity to trade into the late teens/early 20’s for ANOTHER 2022 first?  I’d be open to that.

If Lance is there at #12, you take him, no doubt about it. You get your QB of the future and still have 3 firsts next year to build around him.

Solid trade by Howie.

The Eagles will draft a player at 12 at the same talent level they’d have had at 6.  6 was the drop off.  So now they backed up behind that drop off and get the same talent.  It’s just that it will be dictated to them rather them having their pick of the tier 1b talent.  And with Howie’s drafting, that’s even better.

Likely 3 first round picks next year.  That’s where the team gets rebuilt.

I don’t say it often...but good job Howie.

plus turning 1 of the 5ths into a 4th the team didn't have , solid trade to help get younger

I’d consider it.  I haven’t looked into him enough to have a proper opinion.  I don’t think he drops to 12 with the hype around him.

Well, we have a team to root against in 2021.

It's going to be OL or DL

SF would have to draft Jones at #3, CAR would have to draft Fields, and DEN would have to pass on him. An unlikely set of circumstances.

There’s our guy!

Rousseau is definitely intriguing, as is Oweh, but #12 is too high for either of them. As for OL, both the top 2 guys will be long gone.

It really isn't much money and of course he will help.

He hasn't at his other stops.

Maybe.  I'd say DE or CB.  #12 looks like a nice spot to be for those.

Sounds like the Eagles came out in Hurts’ camp with this pick. Have 11 picks this year and nine next year.

Yup.  Lower expectations, same talent and more draft capital a year away when they (hopefully) can do proper scouting and have a proper college season.

Howie did good here.    Good timing on the move too, no way would they get better return than that.   The move up in the mid rounds is nice too.  I'd have settled for just the #12 and 2021 pick.   But... as predicted by many (including me) Howie managed to get back into Round 4.  This type of deal has always been Howie's best type of move.  It's not about scouting, it's not about assessing players, it's only about asset management.

We are looking at potentially 22 picks over the next 2 years.  We need a few GREAT players and a good amount of good players.  No more JAGs.  No one is going to hit on every pick but we have a chance to totally rebuild this team over the next 2 years along with the hope that a few of the guys from the 2020 draft pan out.

Two teams.  Miami and Colts.   Both go 7-10, Carson plays 75%, 2 picks in the top 20 to go along with the Eagles pick at 32🙂

Agreed.  This is something Howie has been and is still good at.  Less qualitative (scouting) and more quantitative (value and timing).

Is that coming out before or after they supposedly tried to move up to #3, but thought that it wouldn't be good enough to land the different QB they really wanted.
