I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Those numbers. Whew. Some team is going to jump on that. I think it's New York.

I would need an option for no change. I’m ok with the trade, but I still have little confidence Howie lands a true difference maker regardless.

For me its more I dont see any elite talent at DE this year. But I also agree, we have other positions that are in much greater need for talent. I do hope we draft a talented DE next year in the first though.

I was in on this before he rape'd half of Houston.

3 picks is a lot eggs in 1 basket with 15 sexual assault cases looming. Innocent or not.

You mean Watson

It’s got to be Waddle Parsons or Surtain if there.

Yea, that post was before his testing...he definitely didn't show up for today.  Pretty disappointing to say the least.  I still think he has a ton of potential but the fact is he had a full year to train for this and either he just doesn't have that strength and ability or he didn't take it serious enough, both concerning.

I've been hesitant on Rousseau this entire time up until last week and the trade was made.  I still think he's the kind of athlete that can be a dominant force in the NFL.  His game tape is legit, the testing was not.  I don't think 12 is a good spot anymore but maybe another trade down.

Kwite Paye had 6.38 3 cone best all time for a DL 35.5 vert 36 bench reps and ran a 4.56 at 272 lbs.

I think after seeing rosseaus atrocious work out after a year of prep I'm dropping him way below Paye.

Correct. Misread. I took Wilson off the trade block/out of my mind. Apparently Chicago had like 4 first and 2 players going and the Seahawks still said no

I think the report was about Zach Wilson, not Russ.

In all honesty wouldn’t sleep over it not happening. Would maybe rather have Watson if/when all the dust clears

Who was it talking a bunch of crap when I suggested Mac Jones going into the top half of the first round? I also suggested that Jones would be a great fit in SF. There’s more and more rumors of him going #3 to the Niners.

Oh I know who was talking crap... EMB certified tough guy/cranky old man @4for4EaglesNest

I said I would need to run to the washroom faster than Usain Bolt to avoid crapping my underwear multiple times if Mac Jones goes top 10.

I’ve also heard conjecture it’s Trey Lance that Shanahan wants, and he’ll learn for one year while Jimmy G plays out the final year of his contract.

No it was Russell I saw Orlovsky’s take live today

Heard this referenced in the Mosher/Caplan podcast.

Here are the Eagles choices in the top 16 since Andy arrived.  There is a theme.  It suggests that Howie felt that #6 was too high to draft a weapon rather than QB or lineman.

 Year      Pick      Player      Pos
2017      15      Barnett      DE
2016      2      Wentz      QB
2013      4      Johnson      OT
2012      12      Cox      DT

I think there is a lot of truth to that in Eagles philosophy

I'll only be really pissed if they try to trade back UP.

Take BPA, or trade down if they get a good offer.

No shenanigans to go back up for a QB. Especially if that means exhausting the cache of 2022 1st rounders.

What pick at 12 would just infuriate you guys? Be semi realistic. Obviously Howie isn't going to truly pick a punter at 12.

For me it would be Justin Fields.

  Rumors in March.  Yeah.  That's what your spiking the football on?  Such a good "rumor" that you couldn't even attach the link?

Dude.  You have also been suggesting that we bring back Nick Foles for 2 months.  You're pretty short on credibility in here.  :fishing:

Just wait. You said Jones wasn’t a good fit for the niners and was a horrible comparison to Matt Ryan. Just wait dawg.

Big D!ck Nick will be an Eagle one day again. I’ll put $20 on it.

EDIT: before you say anything.... yes that’s half of my fry station paycheck

That history should make someone wonder why we have been drafting so many linemen top 15.  Cox and Lane were exceptional, rare athletes who earned that status.  The rest really didn't provide value in that rnage.

Ive seen pitts falling to 12 in a couple of mocks...does anyone actually think that’s possible?

There is a map:

1. Lawrence  2.  Wilson  3.  Jones/Lance/Fields  4.  Parsons  5.  Sewell  6.  Waddle  7.  Smith  8.  Lance/Jones/Fields  9.  Lance/Jones/Fields  10.  Surtain  11.  Paye/Rousseau

Basically, it requires 5 QB in the top 9 picks as is speculated currently, Parsons as best defensive prospect going top 10 (or even Slater), and neither the Turds or Giants grabbing him.  Turds don’t need another pass catcher, and Giants need OL/DE help.

Edit — that map would also leave Chase on the board (quite unlikely), but even better

Simon looked awesome as a rookie then he got fat and sucked.

What depth is that, exactly?

I'd add Andrews to that list.  Became the best OG in the league for a couple of seasons before he went sideways.

In this context, depth means players present on the roster.

It's not about quality, but rather existence.

What kind of odds do folks give on both Hightower and Quez Watkins being on the 53-man roster going into Week 1.  I’d have to think one will end up on the Practice Squad to start the season — depending of course what happens at the draft.

Graham Avery Barnett Ostman Sweat Leo and that’s just losing Curry last week
