Tier 1A Kyle Pitts.

In terms of athleticism this guy is just short of Megatron and TO.  That’s a pretty good WR IMO.    I also remember when half the NFL thought Justin Jefferson was just a slot receiver, he wasn’t and Pitts isn’t just TE.

I was referring to players listed as WRs. Pitts is in his own league.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Kyle Pitts outran Kentucky’s Kelvin Joseph for a TD this year. According to Daniel Jeremiah, Joseph ran a 4.34 today.

Top 10 picks bust all the time.

- Saquon Barkley was a generational RB and went #2 overall. He's not the best RB in his draft class (Nick Chubb)
- Solomon Thomas, Leonard Fournette and Corey Davis went 3-4-5 in 2017.
- Dante Fowler went #3 right before Cooper/Scheff/Williams...then Kevin White went #7 overall. Lots of people had Kevin White ahead of Amari Cooper.

There's a high likelihood that one of Pitts/Chase is a disappointment and a very strong likelihood 3 of the top 5 QBs are not starters in 5 years.

Hard to imagine either being a disappointment but it happens all the time. Really is a crapshoot.

Is this about right?

Tier 1A: Chase

Tier 1B: Waddle, Smith,

Tier 2: Bateman

Tier 3: Marshall

Tier 4: Toney, E. Moore, R. Moore, D. Brown

See above.

Yeah I agree except I’m very high on Bateman and would strongly consider him over Smith.

Marshall should be up with Bateman.

Toney or Marshall Jr if you had to pick one?

Marshall. He's only 20 and he was showing signs of being as dominant like Chase.

Barkley was injured and didn't play majority of 2020. How is Chubb better? Their stats of 2018-2019 are pretty similar

WR's drafted Top-10 last decade:
2020: None
2019: None
2018: None
2017: Corey Davis, Mike Williams, John Ross 2016: None
2015: Amari Cooper, Kevin White
2014: Sammy Watkins, Mike Evans
2013: Tavon Austin 2012: Justin Blackmon 2011: A.J. Green, Julio Jones

That can not be true.  The players are ranked, starting at 1, through however far they rank them.

There is a 12th ranked player on every draft board, so 12 is not to high for the 12th ranked player.

I think it makes total sense.  The Eagles traded right into no mans land where you're hoping a top player falls or your going to overdraft based on what's available.  Paye and Horn are great examples.  I think they are 15-17 range players but the Eagles might have to take one based on availability.

It's one of my biggest gripes about the trade back.  I love the 1st next year.  However, with potentially 4 QB's going in the top 5, the Eagles were sitting pretty with only 1 team between them and every top prospect in the draft.

Pitts, Chase, Sewell, Surtain IMO are the cream of the crop players, the elite position players available this year.  After them it drops off to a bunch of very good but hard to distinguish what their rank is players.

I just don't have a good grip on what 12 should bring us and I especially hate letting Dallas and NYG draft ahead of us (I know I know, who cares what they do).

He’s not a RB that gets hit on every play, or a QB that’s really hard to project to the NFL.  If Pitts stays healthy, his floor is 50 rec, 600yds and 7-8tds.

He’s as can’t miss as DK Metcalf, except Pitts runs better routes and has way more bend in his hips.    TBF, when Metcalf learns to run the route tree,  say like Jason Avant, he’s gonna be TO, with Randy Moss’s speed.

Folks need to keep in mind LSU moved Justin Jefferson into the slot because they felt they had to get Terrace Marshall on the field.

Yup. If I'm drafting a WR top 10 he better be a super freak.

Only receiver in this draft I would consider a super freak is pitts but he's a TE WR tweener so who knows???

The funny thing is Marshall moved to the slot this year.

LSU is producing WRs.  It's like a WR Factory.  But, Howie doesn't like WR factories.

By all accounts, Cinci is going with Chase.

We have Lane and Jordan at OT. True we could replace Jordan, but I think he’s more talented and could end up being the better pro.

We have Dallas at TE, not sure we will ever use a top 10 pick on a TE anyway.

So is Surtain that much better than the next 6 players that you’d turn down a first round pick?

49ers are 100% taking Mac Jones. The top 6 seems to be:

1. Jaguars- QB Trevor Lawrence
2. Jets- QB Zach Wilson
3. 49ers- QB Mac Jones
4. Falcons- TE Kyle Pitts
5. Bengals- WR Ja'Marr Chase
6. Dolphins- WR DeVonta Smith

Falcons could go QB. There's a lot of buzz about them and Trey Lance.

I would consider JOK at 12 , then

Marshall wo

Williams cb

Green iol

Sermon rb

Johnson  db

Who do you have ranked as the 11-13th ranged players?

People act like there’s only players ranked top 10 and players ranked 15-20.

This is my read as well. That's a good board for us TBH. Pushes down 1 WR, 2 OL, 2 QBs and 2 CBs for #12. Guaranteed a good trade option or player.

No, he only likes QB factories.

The last time we drafted an SEC WR, our GM was Chip Kelly, and the WR was Jordan Matthews.

Dolphins should take Sewell in that scenario.

I guess it’s that time of year again, but is it really a big deal to "overdraft” a guy at 12 that ideally you’d take 15-17?

I think value is overrated. If there’s a guy you love, I’d rather overdraft by half a round vs missing on him completely. At 12 they can still fill a big hole. And if they aren’t in love with anyone there, they can always move back again.
put it this way, would you be all that upset if they got 5 guys they loved but took every one of them 10 picks "too early?”
