I’m not just talking about the fans.  I was more talking about the media.  Which is what started the discussion.  ESP and others illogical hate of Wentz.  But 10% is a lot and especially when it’s a vocal minority.

I don’t pay attention to the Philly media but all I remember is a few grumbles of people not liking when Wentz had all these dead ducks in a picture. Not much talk about religion.

Either way all it takes is one or two people to get upset over something for the other side to claim "everyone” is upset over it.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Of course you think that’s the same thing.    Wow.  I bet if we hired Jason Garrett, you’d be defending the decision.

I actually would feel more confident about him than Sirianni

Jalen Hurts, Devonta Smith, Reagor, Quez Watkins Kvon Wallace, Miles Sanders or Gainwell. Not saying it’s likely but it’s an over reaction to say it’s impossible. The team stunk last season.

Yup.  And they are very likely to stink again this season.

No.  Are you feeling ok?  Of course a 7 foot NBA player who just grabbed 21 rebounds in a game can dunk.  LOL.

And I didn't say he couldn't. But the guy you quoted did.

I'm not going to condemn Nick yet just because I usually have a wait and see attitude on guys but 444 has a point. Nick does look and sound kinda dumb. We'll see (Pedersen also looked and sounded dumb but we got a super bowl out of it) if Nick can dumb his way to a second one I'll be happy

And so did the actual player, whom I quoted earlier.  But why take the word of Embiid talking about his own injury and the impact it has on his explosiveness?  Greend knows better.

Don't get all pissy with me junior. I never said boo one way or the other. My thought was if that was the case then he shouldn't have been in. Your argument is with @4for4EaglesNest he's the guy that said of course he could dunk.

Jeez, how do I get involved in this?  I'm just trying to figure out how I get called out from both sides of an argument that I chose no side on. I watch basketball once every 7 years.

Guy doesn't even watch the Sixers too.  The most uninformed people who don't even watch the Sixers popping in to trash a guy who is playing on a torn meniscus who is the entire lifeblood of this team's success.  A lot of the posters in this thread are caricatures of your typical WIP caller.

If Ben Simmons gets a pass for 50% of his games, Joel can get a pass for one.  He will play tonight and score 35+ and get 10+ boards.  Then we can get back to making fun of Simmons again.

Is he playing tonight?

Nothing has been confirmed but just by following him his whole career, they will say he is questionable or a game time decision and then he ends up playing.  I say its like a 90% chance he plays but that is a pure guess.

CP3 out indefinitely.  Covid protocol.  Wow!

Okay thanks. I hope he does and they win by 20

We don't have enough fire power on offense to win by that much, especially when our "2nd" best player doesn't score or shoot.  A double digit win would be nice though.

They're a below average team at the QB position.  The team looks like it will be healthier along the o-line.  It looks better at receiver.   I think there's certainly a possibility that the team could become a run heavy attack that allows that wins games.  The back 7 on defense is a trash heap of jags, limited prospects and knee braces.  Maybe Gannon can help with that and maybe Harris looks like a pro-bowl player.  It will take a lot of things going right for them to be a winning team not the least of which is Hurts being able to improve as a passer.  It did take a lot for them to stink last season too.  I mean Wentz fell apart, the o-line aside from Kelce, were injured.  Ertz and Goedert both had injuries that kept them out of multiple games. Let's not even talk about the receivers. Their big FA signing, Jernigan, started the year hurt.  The offensive coaching was predictable and then dysfunctional.  I don't think all of those negative things are going to happen this season.

Eagles win the division this year. Book it.

Jalen Hurts is an MVP candidate.

Yup, I agree, outside of sanders, who can't seem to stay healthy, there's not much

Kerryon looked really good as a rookie, that was 3 seasons ago and a couple injuries ago, he's still young but his body is old and doesn't contribute much on special teams either so what's the point.

I'd rather Huntley made the team at least he can play teams and isn't damaged goods and is a good receiver to boot.

If it's up to Howie I'm sure he'll keep Kerryon hoping he can return to his rookie form, which is silly to expect. Then again Howie is a silly GM.

I don't think they're committed to keeping Kerryon.  Sanders is a good back but he's not proven he can be depended upon.  Scott is good against the Giants but he's a 3rd or 4th string player.  Huntley showed nothing and I'm not sure what he could contribute on ST's that some other JAG couldn't.  I think Johnson and Howard are decent depth players.  They could certainly start a game or 2 and be productive.  They could also produce in limited carries. Gainwell is a good rookie prospect who didn't play football last season.  That being said, I think the Eagles probably have more depth at RB  than almost any other team in the NFC East team.  WFT probably has more potential with Gibson and Barber.  Barkley is clearly the most talented RB in the League if he comes back from the injury OK.  They don't have much behind him. Elliott looked cooked last season.  Pollard is a nice back up but I don't think he's a full-time back.  The Eagles have viable potential starters in 3 of their players.  I mean I wouldn't say anything is certain with this team.  I wouldn't say this team is overrated when you look at other teams around the League.

They easily could have won by 20 twice already this series and they let Atlanta climb back both times. They have the offense but they get complacent on defense when they go up by a lot

It's called avoiding foul trouble.

Being up by 20 and winning the game by 20 are two different things, especially in the playoffs.

You have admitted that you don't watch the NBA and hate basketball.  So just because the Sixers are doing well now and you jumped on the bandwagon, does not mean you have a clue what you are talking about.  Do you even know who they played in the first round LOL!
