Good luck with that Jordan

Not sure an extra 30 pounds will help him catch the ball or not Injure his knee.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

The Celtics Big 3 of Garnett, Walker, Allen and the Heat Big 3 of Lebron, Wade and Bosh.....those were the last time people used The Big 3 in NBA.

Durant, Curry and Klay maybe?

Good for him.  I like seeing players do everything they can to prolong their careers.  And if I recall correctly, Matthews was a pretty good blocker.  I hope it works out for him.

So glad I don’t care about the Sixers at all. If I cared half as much about them as I do the Eagles I’d be furious. Simmons was compared Magic Johnson and Penny Hardaway coming into the league but he’s essentially just a less entertaining poor man’s Dennis Rodman.

What an insult to Rodman lol

I actually feel bad for Ben Simmons.

Maybe it's his own fault due to "I'm gonna do me" ego and laziness.  Maybe.

But this is a guy who dated Kendall Jenner, posed it some glitter Buggati, and signed a max deal.  Don't you think he WANTS to drop shots like Steph Curry, be the man with the game in his hands like Jordan?  Everyone in the NBA wants that.  He's embarrassed and afraid.  I don't think it's stubbornness or laziness.

It will be interesting to see how Simmons responds to this.

He went from a nationally respected local lightning rod because his excellent defense and unique but limited offensive ability fell short of his huge expectations and potential....to a national laughingstock.  This isn't the Philly media anymore.  This is opposing coaches, his peers, former players, and national media...all laughing at the all-star basketball player who can't shoot as well as most fans in the stands.

At this point, I think his best fit to is to re-define himself on offense as someone who just grinds out rebounds as a 4/5 for a Warriors-like team that just peppers the basket from the 3-point line.

Do we know yet what date training camp starts?

Are you sure everyone wants that?  Some guys no matter how they act, or how they carry themselves dont have that win at all costs attitude. some dont even care about winning and truly look at professional sports as a job and not a "career".

banging hot chics, amazing cars,  enough money to give his kids-kids-kids a life they would of never dreamed off. Maybe he's content and doesnt think a piece of jewelry or being the best

Could be.

I just always assumed it’s human nature to want more.  Once you do have those things, what distinguishes you from your peers, who also have all those things?  Winning and legacy.

What he just described is called being lazy and yes some people are lazy. Some people want to do just the bare minimum to survive. Most pro players aren't that way but some are.

Do you know Ben's history/career path? He's taken the easy way all the way.  Coasted on his physical gifts.  Been coddled, and coached by family and family friends.  And always wanted to end up in LA. He had only ever been interested in star status. Not team success.. He achieved star status in high-school. He never needed to work for it.  And so,  he still hasn't worked.  He doesn't care about winning.  He doesn't even care about basketball.  He only cares about the peripheral things that come with it.

Dwight Howard at the 4 with great defense.

Howard has built a HOF career around rebounding and defense, couldn't shoot more than 5' and missed almost half his FTs.

Simmons would have to add 10+ lbs without slowing down or hurting his vertical, and develop a 'tude.

Simmons blows

He's not a big

So u can't say we have a big 3

Back in high school I hated foul shots, but then again I'm not a professional basketball player

Hate them all you want.  But, when its a simple part of your job... you need to work on it.

How can someone make it to the NBA and not be good at them. Entire skillset is shooting the ball and that's an easy one. It's flat out being lazy.

Let’s trade Ben for this guy

I had to do a virtual infant newborn class tonight with my wife.  We get to the topic of poop and pee patterns for an infant.  Instructor says:

"Make sure you keep solid LOGS of your baby's stool patterns."
