Their 6th rounder this year was pick #213.  Not sure if "thrilled" would be the word I'd use, but at least it would be done with and some salary would be freed up.

The other option is he gets cuts.  So yeah, maybe not thrilled, but content is what I should have said.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Apologies.  I know someone was in here beating their D over him.  Must have been some other dude.  Good day sir.

I think it was schuy; I remember saying I'd rather have Tylan Wallace.

I don't know if it's a technicality.  The big issue appears to be that the prior DA agreed not to prosecute Cosby if he testified at the civil trial which resulted in a verdict for the accuser.  He was then prosecuted and that testimony was used against him.  The new DA should have probably not used the prior testimony.  I mean it's a technicality in the sense that we have a right against self incrimination.  He could have certainly certainly asserted a 5th amendment claim in response to questions in the civil case.

Agreed. He is still a scumbag.

I liked him a lot, but I think Schuy was leading the charge.

I don't think Howie has overvalued him. I think Ertz has probably been hesitant to agree to restructure with new teams in a trade because he would rather be a free agent.  At this point, however, the team should release him.

Ertz is looking like a good deal salary wise.  Some team that thinks it can contend is going to lose their TE increasing Ertz’s value. No reason to release him or sell him cheap.  Cap value for the Birds isn’t this month, it’s at cut down given where they sit on the waiver wire.

I really don’t see long term value on the street at CB.  I would rather go with Slay, McPhearson and Maddox and retool the secondary with next year’s draft.  With Ertz only gaining them a little under $5 million in cap space, 1) no top CB will sign for that, 2) any CB at the end of his rookie contract costs draft capital for a rental, which is awful return for the Eagles as rentals this year make no sense, and 3) the Eagles don’t need the cap space immediately.  It just seems the wrong time to fold.

@hputenis just crushed some chipotle…

💩🚽🧻

Speaking of baseball, it looks like Tracey Rockers son is pitching for Vanderbilt.

Could be a good fit for us as a player mentor for DeVonta, not to mention TATE coming full circle on this. Airport watch 2.0.

If Larry doesn't retire he should go to a team that can contend.

That’s child’s play.  You should the taco trucks down here in the south.   Also the latest taco craze is Birria Tacos.  I haven’t made yet, but will and they will be awesome.

Sounds good for the soul but not the hole

Hate to say it , but Tampa will win their second cup in a row ,

Seeing as we were talking about Rice the other day, slap a helmet with a visor on it and I bet no one could tell the difference if a 58 year old dude was on a team or retired

Growing up in AZ. My dad and I always spent tons of time together going to Suns games.

I'm praying they win it for him. Been his dream. Anyways. I know this is an eagles board but I know we all had that same feeling with the birds.

I feel it is happening again.

I’ve been on board ever since the "Suns in 4” guy.

But seriously, hopefully it works out in you and your pops favor.

My dad is a Suns fan also, he spent most of his youth growing up in Phoenix. I jumped on board with Suns bandwagon cause of him, Suns in 4 guy, and because overall I enjoy this team. They definitely have 2017 Eagles vibes, very easy to root for. Everyone wants them to win it all, they deserve to win, they have the talent to win. Hope they pull it off

I think the Suns are going to win. I believed that after i saw kawhi get hurt in the jazz series. I thought the clippers were the one team that could beat them if kawhi was healthy.

I think they are really good and their path to a championship has really been remarkably fortuitous. In round one, AD gets hurt. In round two murray is out. Clippers lose kawhi the round before. In the finals they might not face Giannis or young for a couple of games. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen something like that happen. Feels like it just is their time.

that said, I’m happy for Suns fans and the players. I think Sarver is a bad owner. He cost amare and Nash a title because he was cheap. Like trading rondo and first round picks for cash and not wanting to pay joe Johnson cause he didn’t want to go be close to the luxury tax. He also nearly had to deal Booker cause his FO was a crap show due to his hires.

Might be over the top with workout vids, but at least we know he’s working to improve.

People will find anything to complain about.

Well thank God we get to see a video of him set to hype music every time he looks at a football otherwise how would I know he's "working to improve".  Hurts huggers out in full force babay

Good article by Tommy Lawlor this morning which nails a lot of the same points people have been discussing on here regarding Hurts.  Some of the points he makes are what people get bashed for in here.

This 1-3 win record is so damn lazy. Even lazier than the 52%.. He was the backup, with no offseason or starting OL. With a losing hurt team.

And got benched to tank a game. I am one of the few that thinks that is the right thing to do in a game where you have nothing to win but pride.

I am convinced Hurts will shock the NFL media this season.

Did you read the rest?  Lawlor went on to say not to look at the 1-3 record because he easily could have been 3-1.

The major takeaways from the article:

-Don't look at Hurts 1-3 record (the team around him was abysmal, notably the defense)

-Like McNabb in 2001, Hurts numbers and the offense will be better because of his legs

-Even then, team needed great defense and ST which produced a combined 4 TDs to get to 11 wins

-Hurts is probably good enough to keep the Eagles in the middle which does them no good

-High draft picks help build a team with higher impact players which are harder to get in the middle/lower half of round 1

This however sums up what I think A LOT of think about Hurts...'

Ideally you either want Hurts to show enough where you can say "He’s not the guy” or "We found our QB”. History tells us Hurts is likely to be somewhere in the middle of that. And his ability to run and improvise could easily have us leaning the wrong way"

Hurts is a great runner, no one is denying that.  It could help him squeak out a win to two.  However, a QB with the ability to run is able to hide his passing game flaws by tucking and running the ball.  I think we all love the excitement that brings to the game but it's not sustainable.  Heck, look at Carson Wentz in his rookie year and in 2017.  He was very dangerous with his legs...until he got hurt.  The better Donovan got as a QB, the less he ran the ball.  Does Hurts have the potential to no longer need to rely on his legs....that's the question.

On that bandwagon to are you?

Nope , been a habs fan , since probably before you were born ,  just a realist ,the  Lightning are the best team since the redwings run , just giving credit where credit is do  , and as I have said before  , champabay as some have called them , Is looking like reality ..
