Re Ertz...

I understand that it's a big discussion point because Ertz is an all-time Eagle great.  So the situation is monitored with great interest.  But you guys do realize that, aside from the optics...and purely from a pragmatic standpoint...the Ertz situation is almost completely irrelevant.

We are talking trading Ertz for a 6th or 7th round pick in 2022...MAYBE a conditional 5th in 2023 at best.  If he stays and plays, we are talking about a #2 TE who does not block and likely produces about 400 yards and 1-3 TDs.  That also means the comp pick after he walks, for the 2023 draft, is a 6 at best.

So we are talking about negligible draft capital, either way, and negligible production, either way.

It doesn't even matter what they do at this point.  If it weren't for his name and legacy, the weight of this decision wouldn't even register on the awareness of the media or the boards.

If they get rid of Ertz they save 8.5 million. Which they can roll over to 2022. Or they can bring in a player who actually will help the team like Nelson.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Not sure what getting a 4.0 at Stanford has to do with anything concerning Sherman.

There are plenty of people that do well in school and break lots of laws, most of them are politicians though

Point is he’s not dumb. Getting arrested for this is stupid though.

That was brilliant.  He said what are you going to do?  Williams said, slap you in your face.  Well do it then.....and.......scene.

Love that clip. Love that he throws his hands up and nervously giggles.

What a ****.

There are many different forms of intelligence and while Sherman comes off as being intellectually intelligent he's never shown to be the most emotionally intelligent person and the action of domestic violence is an emotional response not an intellectual one

Looks like Sherman went all Tiger Woods last night.

That’s true. Sherman always came off as a good dude IMO so it’s just a little surprising, but we only really see what these guys present to us. So who knows.

Another CB2 off the board. Arrested on a felony charge

So he crashed his car and then went on foot to a relatives house and tried to break into the house.  He then had to be taken down by a K9 unit.  Welp - I don't think Sherman's going to be playing in the NFL anymore given his age.

You mean his wife found out about all the hookers and porn stars he was banging and chased him down the driveway beating his car with an 8iron?  Then was exposed to be a juice head and then be riddled with injuries after he tried to get off the juice?  Or are you just talking about falling asleep at the wheel, recently?

Crashed his car, went to jail......

Just gotta get his college transcripts to the judge to be freed. Once he pays a small fee they should be able to fedex it.

GD.  I would have loved to have been able to watch all that go down.  Sounds hilarious.

Judging by the episodes of COPS I used to watch, better than even odds he was shirtless through most/all of it.

What in the world are you talking about?  Do you just pay attention to ESPN and the national media morons?   He has acted like one of the biggest D-bags in the league at every single given opportunity to speak or do anything publicly.

Having a "4.0” doesn’t mean someone is not dumb or stupid?  Again, have you seen how he interacts with other players?   Didn’t look too smart then.

I think you’re confusing intelligence with wisdom.  Having a 4.0 almost certainly shows that you are "intelligent” but that doesn’t necessarily make you "wise”.

When? On the field he trash talks a lot, but he seems like a good dude off the field.

Never trust someone who thinks they can win a contract negotiation, without any real training, against professionals.

Call me jaded, but these women know where their bread is buttered.  She's out there doing damage control to the media already; tells me she wants to keep that money-train chugging.

I think Sherman is smart but plenty of smart people aren't emotionally stable.

Quick google search shows that she has her own business in WA, but ya.

I think you’re confusing me with the other poster I was saying this same thing to. Thanks for chiming in, but you might want to read up on the exchange before you say things like this.   Because I have been arguing this all day.   Thanks tho.

Which is what I was telling Wentz11.  Just because he had a 4.0 doesn’t mean he’s not capable of doing something stupid like this.   You’re also agreeing with me.

You were calling him stupid.

He probably wasn’t all there mentally. At least it looks like no one was harmed, but either way. This didn’t have to be that big of a debate. He’s not an Eagle.

Hope they signed a pre-nup so he can't start siphoning off all of her nail salon fortune if anything goes south.

He's just not a likeable guy in my opinion.  This article depicts several reasons why.  He bishes about everything, and he just can't shut his yap......on the field, with media reporters, Thursday night football games, belittling the media for normal questions, pregame altercations.  He just never stops.
