Overrated in my view.  Note a lot of his sacks are on cleanup. Cupboard is so bare at DE this year he may go late first but he really strikes me as a late second day DE.

Interesting take. I see explosion, athleticism for a bigger guy, imposing strength and physicality, I really like him and think he just gets better once getting to the NFL. Think he goes top 20. I like that he can play across the line in an attacking scheme.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Great he still was bad in 2018. And nowhere in that article does it say the Jacksonville jaguars change their system from 2017 to 2018 where he saw a massive decline. They didn’t change the scheme in Jacksonville from 2017 to 2018. In 2016 and 2017 was good. In 2018 was bad. So again you’re full of crap. He was bad against the run and not what he was as a pass rusher. They were banking on the fact that he be in Jim Schwartz system that he would be good again. That was proven wrong and it proved his 2018 decline was correct

It must have been some other Malik Jackson, some impostor, who played for the Jaguars last season; at least, that’s what his most accomplished former teammate said; a Malik Jackson that had just 3½ sacks and got benched in 2018 because he couldn’t stop the run.

amazing in your own article it says he got benched because he was **** against the run  wow can’t make this stuff up

on top of all this you bring up Marcus hayes who might be the second worst reporter in the city of Philadelphia behind the one and only Elliott shorr parks

For the record, in the last week, we have heard that Howie and the scouts overruled the coaches, opting for Reagor over Jefferson because of speed.

Today, we also heard that Doug pushed over Howie and got Reagor because he wanted more speed in the offense.

Just in case anyone was under the impression anyone had been telling us the truth at any point, instead of what we are meant to hear...

He fixed Tannehill.  That says a lot.

I wish I had the tweet from the other day but there was an Atlanta beat reporter that said he would be surprised if it wasn’t Arthur Smith or Joe Brady that becomes their coach.

Running the ball a lot helped a lot.

Yes you can. He's under contract for three more years, with zero leverage. Want to whine about it, you're the #3 QB moping up in exhbition games.

They aren't getting Wentz past mental issues with him looking over his shoulder. Hurts hasn't shown enough to warrant giving up on Wentz, so they have to pick.

How pissed do you thing people will be if the eagles dealt wentz and hurts. Then drafted trey lance at 6? Then again if you deal wentz and hurts you’d have to draft a backup qb in round two cause you need a cheap backup that’s controllable for the next 3-4 years.

That's something I think is actually realistic that I mentioned a few days ago. They can always find a backup. I'm not sure what they would get for Wentz and Hurts though. Especially since Hurts didn't play great the last few weeks. His benching they may be able to blame on Doug tanking. Before that they may have been able to get a first for him. Now? Maybe a 2nd?

I was totally kidding about trading both. I just wanted to poke fun at the fact if you traded them or one of them the stupid excuse they need a cheap backup comes back in play.

to me if they deal wentz i don’t think a QB is off the table at 6.

Did alshon inform her of this?

So it looks like

Daboll to LA Chargers, Saleh to the Jets and Smith to the Falcons.

That still leaves Joe Brady to the Eagles.

Well to me that feels like coddling. Having a few relatives who have dealt with the monster that is the NFL.  Every game could be your last. players have hopes and dreams, families to feed etc. Even at your 9-5 ppl are working to one up the next. Why should that affect my performance.

Third round QBs (except for 2012, a truly freak season, but Osweiler went ahead of Wilson, Foles and Cousins, go figure), are marginal backups, even most 2nd rd QBs flop. When i say flop, I mean they're not even serviceable backups (of the 32 backup QBs, maybe 10 at best can actually win games coming off the bench).

So if Hurts is a solid back up and potential starter, he's actually a top 40 value. Look at the QBs who go early 2nd rd.

QBs get "overdrafted" for a simple reason, they're the most important player on your team.

Yup... Sure... mmmm-hmmm, and it would cost $10M to have a quality backup, please list all the $10M/year backups.

A lot of backup QBs are failed starters... and a lot of them are pretty cheap.

But, hey, this team was a rookie backup QB away from competing... oh, wait, they were taking the long view... so we shouldn't have expected them to be ready to compete in 2020... and they had a backup QB for 2020... so why was it so important to draft one in Round 2 in 2020?   For 2023, now?  When he's about to become a free agent?

Long story short, every narrative you built has crumbled when they are all laid side by side.

I would be excited about Joe Brady.

I would be very disappointed with Arthur Smith.

I've only seen the Jags officially hiring anyone

Why do people think college QBs are guaranteed to be successful, even if picked high:

2019:  Murray #1, Jones #6, Haskins #15

2018:  Mayfield #1, Darnold #3, Allen #7, Rosen #10

2017:  Trubisky #2, Mahomes #10,  Watson #12

2016:  Goff #1, Wentz #2, Lynch #26

2015:  Winston #1, Mariota #2,

2014:  Bortles #3, Manziel #22,

2013:  Manuel #16

2012:  Luck #1, RGIII #2, Tannehill #8, Weeden #22

2011:  Newton #1, Locker #8, Gabbert #10, Ponder #12

I don’t think I’d be all that excited about anyone, to be honest, but Brady would be the most exciting of the realistic options. Daboll probably is a pipe dream.

I like Arthur Smith, but he isn’t a great on-paper candidate.
