Well Spads team finally changed the head coach to Sirianni on PE.com. All the other coaches are the same.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Who got clipped today ??

Duce Staley joining Dan Campbell in Detroit. No title given yet. I'm assuming either as RB coach or OC.

Good on the Eagles for letting him out of his contract.

Good for Duce.  Needs to expand his experience.

This report about Wentz having beef with the whole organization is hard to take. I'm trying to see it from his perspective - get over the Hurts pick already! -  but it looks bad and he need to take some responsibility publicly at some point.

It is also an anonymous source article, where Wentz has not talked with the Eagles and stated it, nor any reporter. If the Last 4 years have taught you anything, it should have been the media is not to be trusted.

Well, look at the sources.  I am not sure I would trust a weather report out of either of them if you could look outside the window and see the snow coming down.

So here’s some insight on new OC Shane Steichen. Credited with doing an out standing job with Herbert. Good numbers under him in offense rankings. Biggest complaint on him was "you guys or gonna love this” is he was too MUCH reliant on the run! Especially in the early downs. Had an infamous play call among Chargers fans where he called a run play at the ATL 8 yard line with 22 seconds left and no timeouts. Needless to say it didn’t work and the half expired. So I’m guessing he here for the QB and should be fine as long as Sirianni is calling the plays.

If that last part is true, that's a problem. Especially since Moorehead has a relationship with Montae Reagor.

There is a difference between reporters and talking heads.  Those two belong to the latter group.

It was reported at the time that both Doug/Moorehead wanted Reagor over Jefferson.

That doesn't make him a bad coach.

So, lateral move. At least he can maybe build up his network a bit.

I haven’t listened to any of the postgame stuff from the games yesterday; don’t think I need to.  I texted someone immediately after the game and basically said Rodgers couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn during either of those red zone possessions near the end of each half, and he surely won’t take any responsibility for the loss after the game.  The game in crunch time got too big for both Rodgers and LaFleur, and both should get their share of the blame.

Terrible decision to kick the FG, no doubt — but Rodgers’ throws in the red zone yesterday were so terrible it made the decision almost understandable.  I thought the decision to deliberately go offsides and give up the first down after the two-minute warning was also dumb.  You’ve already decided to put the game on your Defense — stack the LOS and stuff Fournette on 2nd down, and set up 3rd down to get the ball back, for crying out loud.

Look back to the news reports after the Eagles drafted Reagor.  Moorehead acknowledged that he had actively recruited Reagor when he was the WR coach at A&M. Reagor was a more prized recruit out of HS than Jefferson. So Moorehead was more familiar with Reagor than Jefferson.  Thus lobbying for him isn’t crazy.  But that also points to what I think is a huge failure with Howie.  He needs to trust his scouts more than the coaches on draft choices.  It was widely reported he deferred to Schwartz and Pederson.

For every one asking this is what Garafolo said "The short answer is no. No, but let’s see,” Garafolo said when asked if Pederson being gone meant Wentz would be back. "I mentioned this when Doug got fired and everyone said that ‘Well, means Carson Wentz is back’…No. There is more to this. This a guy who, I am told, feels a little bit off in his relationship with the entire organization. A lot of people. There are a lot of hurt feelings on his end with how this whole thing was handled. I am not saying he is justified or not justified, I’m just telling you that my understanding is it is more than just the head coach for him. There are still more conversations that need to be had. When I say Sirianni is going to talk to him, don’t forget the front office is going to talk to him and see if they can work through their feelings and work through this whole thing and see if they can get back on the same page.”

Chargers' offense ranked just 18th in points, but they also ranked 9th in yards, 4th in giveaways, and 15th in DVOA”. So at least our new OC is prepared to coach Wentz and Hurts re: giveaways.

I don't know who's been coaching Josh Allen but i'd love him to get some time with Wentz. And Hurts too for that matter.

My problem is Wentz's silence in the face of all these unsubstantiated reports.

And the McLane report looms over all of this. I'll give him until the draft, but Wentz needs to address his fans.

Even if he ends up like Ryan Tannehill, I still want to trade Wentz.

Do we think Wentz is going to win a playoff game against Mahomes? Rodgers? If the answer is no, trade him.
To beat those players, you need to have top 5 rosters to make it competitive.

If he’s allowing nepotism to influence his decisions negatively, sure it does.

Yup.  Maybe he needs to go.

No, it makes him a bad scout.  I think the position coach should be able to scout his positional responsibility.

Yup.  It is lateral, but its a different ladder.

Lazy work by Moorehead though in that case, if he's not assessing where Reagor and Jefferson had each progressed during the subsequent years.  You can't judge a player on what they were when they were 18, when they are now 21 or 22.
