Lurie had to be in on it too. If he wasn’t then Doug would be working at Sears by now

That tells me we hire a defensive minded HC and Doug is gone, lol.

Feels like they were limiting miles sanders carries so they could keep him at s manageable number for when they extend. Why else would one give ones best offensive player only 12 touches a game? Just a lot of curiously poor decisions this year.

Based on the 4-game sample, though — I would place a substantial wager Hurts isn’t a long term answer and won’t be an Eagles QB on a second contract.

Why did Doug play for a tie? Why is Doug calling qb draw so many times for a qb with an injury history? Why is miles top 3 in ypc and only getting 12 carries a game? Why wait 12 weeks to bench Gerry? Why wait 12 weeks to bench Carson? Why call so many slow developing plays with a patch work o line? Why doesn’t Doug play to his players strengths? Why doesn’t Doug ever adjust in the 2nd half? I just don’t see how a coach is allowed to make this many poor decisions(plus many others I haven’t even mentioned) and keep his job unless there is something going on behind the scenes. If you don’t believe anything is happening behind the scenes and "Doug is just an idiot” then Lurie would have fired him because this season was a complete disaster & Chip was fired for a lot less. This year was so bad it makes chips last season look like the SB season

Everyone else was hurt that was inactive. They went for it on fourth down that would have put them up by a four. With nothing to lose, they took a chance. How does that alienate players, Joe. Finally, the offered some loyal players that won’t be back, including Sudfeld, Clement, Curry some playing time. They also let some players get into the game, like Juriga at sixth OL, Smith at LB that they wanted to evaluate. The few healthy starters they had played most all of the game; Ward, Kelce, Seumalo, Ertz on offense and Hargrave, Graham, Slay and maybe Edwards and Singleton (never was sure if Riley and Gerry were still starters) on defense. (Yes, that is how bad the injuries have been this year, Joe.) No, they didn’t risk a Deshean Hall level injury on players that were banged up. Why should they? I am sure that alienated players, agents and future employees. Not like insulting players at the negotiation table, like you were famed for. I'm actually shocked Joe Banner tweeted that, tbh. Anyway, everyone's entitled to their own opinion when it comes to sports.

They still view themselves as a SB winner and until they realize that chapter is over, then there won't be much change.

January 5, 20214 yr I think the WR we want in this draft depends on the QB. I don’t care about Devonta Smith’s size.. he’s a natural WR. He runs good routes and gets open. He catches everything, even contested balls. Chase has the size. IMO, if Hurts is the QB, Smith isn’t your guy. Hurts isn’t gonna be a quick strike passer and Smith’s quickness in his routes won’t be as effective. If we go with Hurts, I’d rather have Chase. But If we go with a QB that can get the ball out quickly, Smith would be great here. But I’m not sure Wentz is that guy at this point. And I don’t trust Doug to call plays that make sense. So I may as well shut up

He's made some very nice throws, both in college and here. I think people see issues with his arm mostly when he's running and makes off balanced throws...those seem to be more of an issue than his arm strength, imo.
