Someone should ask wallace why it took him like 15-16 weeks to play meaningful snaps. Maybe less time on social media and more time learning what he was supposed to be doing. And as a FYI he has played poorly when given chances so he didn’t need to tank to help us lose

Yea, lost in the Hurts in the 2nd, Taylor in the 3rd complaints is the fact that Wallace was seen by many as a steal...but he did nothing this year that made him look like a good pick in any round.  Huge disappointment this year at a position that needed depth and help.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Hmm I dunno, Steve from Delco said Kelce was throwing haymakers and had to have the entire offensive line hold him back. He then had Doug in a rear naked choke while calling him a cracker

I haven't watched a Falcons game in awhile. Just seen the scores and the leads being given up. They haven't been the same since that embarrassing SB loss and now are just expected to give up a lead and lose. Looking up the stats it seems like Ryan isn't the main the problem

Schwartz?

There were talks about dealing him at the trade deadline this past year along with dealing julio. I think they are ready to just move on tbh. Matt Ryan has amazing stats when you look at it on the surface. But when you watch it Lanae there’s games where they just look like crap when Julio Jones is an out there and they put up a bunch of garbage time stats in some games with him.

In fairness two different situations. One had been playing poorly for weeks. Another really as only played poorly for that game and the second half against Dallas (to a lesser extent second halves against cardinals and Saints).

Yeah, I typed that response quick because it just hit me that man, guys are really backing Hurts.  2 totally different situations for sure.

What it tells me though is there is no way you can bring both QBs back next year.  You're going to have team Carson and team Jalen in the locker room.  It won't end well.

It's a shame that Julio isn't going to get a ring unless he leaves Falcons

I was super high on him. I thought they got a jam in that round. Now he might still wind up being a very good player for the Eagles but the fact was he should’ve been able to contribute to the team this year. He in my opinion was more polished than a lot of the rookies the Eagles hat. And he couldn’t even get on the field. Now maybe some of that his Schwartz but even when he played he did not do a very good job. And then he had other issues earlier in the year on social media. That’s a kid that needs to stay off social media because every time he does it and when he continues to not play at the level that is of expected of him he just looks worse

Can thank Kyle shanahan and Atlanta’s defense for that. He made that ridiculous catch for atlanta in that New England super bowl. Really should have basically won that game if atlanta didn’t screw everything else up.

Lost in the disappointment of the Reagor/Hurts draft picks, what do you guys think of our 3rd round pick Davion Taylor? I know he didn't see much time on the field this season. For those who kept track, did he look promising when he played? Or is this just another draft pick Howie wasted

The only way Howie and Doug resolve the ‘fracture’ with Wentz is to trade Hurts.  Otherwise, Wentz may force a trade on them.

I’ve said it before — no way you can go into training camp with two QB who both believe they deserve to be the starter.  Hurts may well be a good soldier and wait his turn, but it’s not a good plan to rely on that.

Well at first, the whole story was bogus.  Now you have two players coming out saying they were unhappy.  There is the video of Hurts saying " that's not right " after he was pulled.

If you don't think that more is going to come out, you are kidding yourself.  Pederson needs to be clipped today, or this team will be an absolute disaster next year.

I’m usually more harsh on doug but that decision I don’t think came down on doug. I think that was a decision made by Lurie and roseman. I tend to agree with Chris long on this. That was doug doing what he was told and roseman/lurie telling him to do it for the betterment of the long term future of the team getting a higher draft pick.

I really don't get the outrage.  Teams that are eliminated from the playoffs often rest injured starters to not further aggravate the injury, and play younger players and backups to get them some playing time and evaluate them.  You're not required to do anything based on some other team's chances.  And the Eagles were playing another rival so it's not like they were just sabotaging a division team.

Teams that made the playoffs rest starters and the schedule is meant to have division rivals compete at the end of the year.  All of a sudden they're complaining because it's Philly and people love to hate Philly.

More to come out.  Great, whatever. Two players were not physically restrained from going after the HC.  That’s what MCLane and Steeler fan want you to believe.

I can see someone saying, "I’m going to talk to coach”.   And another player putting his arm around him or his hand on his chest and saying, "no brah. I wouldn’t do that”.   But not an altercation.

It will all come out in the wash.  But it being true would be a good thing.  Then Doug is gone, and if Howie was part of that decision, and the national outrage about it, maybe Jeff clips Howie as well.

We supposedly kept the #1 media market team out of the playoffs after a playoff drought. So, we are public enemy #1.

He was terrible when he played. Kind of to be expected given how much of a project he is

See my post above.

So... we have confirmed that Kelce wanted to "talk, non-confrontationally" to Doug... and that McLane stands alone with zero confirmation about 2 players needing to be restrained.

Kelce - not shocked.  That's what 'leaders' do.   The nonsense about players needing to be restrained... I still call 100% BS... or more exactly that McLane tried to paint the picture a certain way.

He was the worst pick of the draft.  Horrible use of a 3rd round pick.  He had one highlight where he took a good angle on Lamar Jackson.  He still has no idea how to play linebacker but he's fast! That was the theme of last year, get fast guys.

I hated the pick and he did nothing to prove me wrong.

Nate Sudfeld is a FA.  If they wanted to evaluate him to determine if they are gonna bring him back, should have given him the whole game.

With the Wentz / Hurts dynamic, they should have given Hurts the entire game to determine the course of action in the off season.  So far Hurts had been 0-2 in winning one score games in the second half.  Should have seen if he could get over the hump.  They answered zero questions about Jalen Hurts on Sunday night.

He's developmental.  Exceptional athlete who still needs to learn the game at the NFL level.  Very high ceiling/potential.  His 2nd year, with a full off-season/camp/pre-season under his belt will be more telling.

I’ve been of the opinion for a while that you aren’t bringing back both. I don’t think it’s good for either doug, Carson or hurts. Now the eagles are dumb enough as an organization to actually try that though is a different question.

That said I’ve also been of the opinion that the Eagles did not select a quarterback in round two to just be the back up for the foreseeable future. It’s been my belief the Eagles did not know which Carson Wentz they were going to get over the next two seasons. They didn’t know if they were gonna get the end of 2019 Carson Wentz or the beginning of 2019 Carson Wentz. They figured we really like this quarterback in the second round and if Carson is more of early season 2019 then after two years we can get out of that contract and move on from him. And they would have his successor in place and they can groom him over those two years so that he should be ready to take on whatever they want to do at that point in time. Now if Carson played well like late season Carson Wentz of 2019 then they can continue the convoluted bs we need a cheap back up that they wanted to go with and the other secondary and tertiary reasons they came up with. But then and now i believe they drafted him to eventually be the starter if Carson Wentz wasn’t what they saw at the end of 2019. This goes back in my opinion to Jeffrey lurie back in 2011 talking about fools gold and I’m thinking they likely thought the end of 2019 could have just be fools gold with the scheduling and the division they played in

Whoever was in charge of the flex should get getting the grief. That game shouldn't have been flexed to the 8pm slot

Last game of the NFL regular season shouldn't have been a division game from the worst division in the league
