And as soon as he says he wants to be here and to make it work out for the franchise that gave him a shot, things will smooth aver pretty quickly with many fans.

I’d be willing to bet not. Like i just posted here fans will attack him for why he waited so long. And if he’s being authentic. Hurting the eagles with his attitude. Not only that then they’ll want more info about what happened when he doesn’t have to say anything.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I’m not saying he needs to say anything right now... unless he wants to be here. In that case it’s stupid not to say anything.

Of course he doesn’t want to be here.

His first backup qb has a bronze statue outside the stadium and a legend he’ll never live up to.  In his campaign to live up to that, he’s been surrounded by a horrific supporting cast of weapons.  And instead of using a premium pick to further advance that horrible cast, they just drafted a backup that took his job.

Now, he’s got to prove his manhood in 2021, which just so happens to be a year that the owner acknowledged they won’t even be trying to win.  He’s about to get boo’ed off the field on every 3 and out.

Wentz doesn’t have to say anything.  He wants out badly.  Given his recent level of play, he’s just not in a position to publicly say so, since he has a hand in this mess.  But let’s just use some common sense and acknowledge that Philly is the LAST city and team he wants to be part of right now.

Who said anything about the media? This is about him communicating to the fans.

Carson really could put a lot of this stuff to bed if he would come out and just say he’s here and wants to be here and he’s committed etc.

That fact that he hasn’t does raise eyebrows. That’s why When Jenkins and other bring it up with no rebuttal of course suspicions will rise.

Carson can kill it all but he’s choosing not to...

The season ended a month ago. He was benched two months ago. How long do you want him to take? As long as he needs? He’s not a grieving widow.

Technically, Jalen Hurts is the starter, he started the last game of the season.  Why are you not so worried about the fact he has not spoken ??

Yup, the WIP crowd and the Philly sports media will want a whole mile after they get an inch.  It's just how they are.

Just perform on the field.  I'm not a teenage girl so I don't care about knowing every detail.  We're not privy to know what goes on behind the walls at NovaCare.

Hes on vacation right now enjoying his family, so yes he can take as long as he needs until the new season starts on March 17th

Cause the fans deserve to hear everything.... it’s a fallacy fans have like they are owed something. He doesn’t have to talk or say crap to them. If he wants to do what he is then he can. I’d say the same thing if it were kelce or lane or foles.

i don’t blame him reading Twitter, ig and Facebook it’s disgusting seeing some of the things fans say and there’s A LOT of fans who don’t want him back regardless if he says he wants to be here for multiple reasons and a lot of fans who already made their mind up back in December before the mclane report came out.

That’s basically all I’m saying. His silence says a lot.

Lol. Ok. He can give the Eagles a heads up just before camp then I guess.

As I said above, Carson obviously doesn’t want to be here; why would he?  That’s obvious, not newsworthy.

The real question is if he wants to buckle up, make the best of it, and say something nice, or if he is going to stay quiet until camp.

I don’t really care either way.

Yeah the blog fan base and parts of the emb fan base are completely different then the irrational casual fan made up their mind that he’s a crybaby (from "sourced” reports) or hurts is better or they should’ve kept foles so we hate Carson and want him gone. I think Carson saying he wants back helps the people who also want Carson back more than the people who’ve already committed to moving on and would use whatever Carson said as BS and he’s being phony

Heads up about what? Hes under contract and not going anywhere right this second. Hes already talked to the new coach. Im sure him and Lurie have spoke. What does any of that have to do with him having to talk to the media and say whats up to the fans?

No one cares that Jalen Hurts hasnt spoken to the media. The only people that want to hear from Carson are those who want bash him even more. His supporters only want him to talk with his actions on the field next season.

He probably has already made his point clear on how he feels to the eagles FO. Again they’ve likely and based off what sirianni said have talked to him. That’s completely different then talking to the fans. Talking to your organization and employer is vastly different then having to confirm to the fans you want or don’t want to be here. I’m guessing if he doesn’t the eagles said to keep it to himself so they don’t get killed on the trade value. Cause at this point it’s pure speculation

I’ll reiterate that there is a precisely 0% chance that Wentz wants to be here.  If he did, I’d say that he needs to re-enter concussion protocol.

The only question is how strongly he wants out versus how willing he is to make the best of things while he cashes paychecks.

In Canada, the national sports networks here pirate the FOX/CBS/NBC broadcast, so we’re stuck watching commercials from Canada rather than the originating broadcaster.  During wildcard weekend they repeatedly showed a mental health ad, where it depicted two men "of an alternative lifestyle” hugging each other for emotional support.  Not my thing

My reaction, however, was not to stop watching football — I chose to shake my head and chuckle, rather than choose to be offended.  I choose the same reaction to quite a few social justice initiatives.

Of course ... not that there’s anything wrong with that

Carson is in a no win situation. he cant put it to bed bc people are idiots

so best to ignore the noise and focus on football. bc thats how you treat distractions.

Well, that's the Philly sports media and (some of, enough of) the fans, ones who keep WIP alive and well and profitable, who need more than the Xs and Os and want this to be like WWE.  A soap drama for men.

I agree with @Alphagrand, that he owes me nothing as far as social media takes, etc., mostly because I don't care about that.  All I want from him is to make a decision as to whether he's had enough of this organization and wants to move on to another team or if he's going to commit to this team.  And if it's the latter then I want him to work his ass off on working with the new O staff to learn the O, working with his teammates (as much as they will be allowed) to build chemistry and working on himself both physically and mentally to be the best QB he can be.

When guys like Cox and BG come out in his defense (and now Fulgham with the recent retweet he did) and knowing the beat writers in this town if you swallowed those reports of him being a sulking bad teammate then you're just a mark.  You're exactly the person those stories are written for.  Seriously, what do people expect him to say exactly?  To deny those reports?  Then you'll have people saying "Well, of course he's going to deny them" and still not be satisfied.

Hey, Carson, you don't have to say anything if you don't want to.  Just bring your lunch pail to work everyday and listen to your coaches when they're teaching you how to be a better QB.  That's all I need from you right now.  Thanks.

it's not just the fans he's speaking for, he's speaking for the players too, he's supposed to be the leader, take responsibility, willing to work with coaches, if he's not, then players will disrespect him because he's not a team player, he's all for himself. players dont want that. if he comes back and is the same player, then they will quit on him, that's why teams are bad for so long because they dont hold the leader accountable which drags the team down.

if wentz does get traded, it's not because of the fans and the front office, it's because of wentz, if he wont change and be a team leader that players respect then that's why he gets traded. the front office cant let a player like wentz drag the team down.

that's why foles won the sb, the team respected him for his competitiveness and accountability and willing to change when things go wrong, that's what leaders do and franchise qbs are.

There aren’t reports that he wants out of Philly.

Honestly the thing he should’ve focused on his cleaning up his mechanics and working on his craft. F everyone else and everything else. Go into 2021 with a chip on your shoulder and prove people wrong. He does that and he is here people will hop back on board. If it’s somewhere else then every eagles fan will be ****ing about why we dealt him. Legitimately that’s the thing he should be doing and not caring about anything else.

Doesn't mean anything to me.  He is under contract with the Eagles, and I expect him to be the starter Week 1.

The wanting him to talk crowd sounds like a girl who didn't get a response to a text message.

Carson does not owe you anything in regards to media availability.

He doesn’t have to say anything, but there are consequences to his words and silence. To think otherwise is being obtuse.

And for the record, you’re hyperbolizing. We don’t need to know "everything,” but if he wants to be here he should say "something.”

What consequences are those, besides crying on social media.

Nor should there be.  What other team has almost even odds of making a fullback their starting qb?

But in all seriousness, I doubt he wants to be here either.  This isn’t a good environment to start your career as a qb and he certainly knows that.

Actually, we have no idea. He obviously had a problem with Doug, has he even talked to Nick.

Give that Sirianni is a Reich protege, Wentz might be excited to play for him for all we know.

Carson can mime his way through every press conference in to perpetuity for all I care as long as he produces on the field.
