The coaching this year was brutal.  They don't know how to use players to their strengths or they just don't care to, either way it's a joke.

How many OCs and position coaches have failed over the years on this team

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I have to say... Does anyone know why Press Taylor apparently spent some time on Sunday on the sideline with Carson and Sudfeld? And apparently not much time with Hurts at all? I mean what's that all about.

He's the passing game coordinator not the run game coordinator.

Looking at youtube Eagles channel:

2020: didn't speak until June when he made statements about racial injustice.  The pandemic might have affected him doing a PC earlier?
2019: March (btw he said that they want to get back to drafting a QB every other year at least and always have QBs coming in if not this year the next)
2018: August (this was after winning the SB)

So it's anyone's guess. Great lol

Right? And the QB coach. So surely he should be speaking to the QB? You know the one who is playing 3/4 of the game.

He's not the RB coach. That's Duce Stayley

All final decisions rest with Doug on offense unless Howie is interfering, too, which could be possible.  That's why I think Doug needs to go.  A good playcaller sets up plays based on previous playcalls. Doug doesn't do that at all. He just looks at his play sheet and picks a play.  Plus, I don't think you can have 3 or 4 guys calling plays in a game.  They probably aren't focused on what the other playcallers did so that they can call plays that were set up by those previous plays.  They need to get rid of all these consultants...hire an OC...and let the OC and HC call plays.  But, Doug needs to go. He clearly looked emotionally cooked for the last half of the season. He wasn't communicating effectively. The 4th down decisions and 2 point decisions were horrid.  And, there was no justification to bench Fulgham for Jeffery and then Doug basically threw Fulgham under the bus by saying it was due to Fulgham's practices.

Noticed one thing about Hurts based on the telecast.  When the defense was on the field, he did not talk with other people.  When coaches talked to him, his did not have much facial expression, knocks or shake head.  Not sure if he was taking in what were said, or interested in the topics.  Is he even a coachable player?

psst

Spoiler

the joke is he's a RB playing QB

;)

Do people think Dolphins keep Tua after getting benched twice for Fitzpatrick(would have been a 3rd but Fitz wasn't active)?

Jets could end up not picking a QB and sticking with Darnold. Wonder if they'd trade out

Reagor is good.
Hurts' bad throw got him concussed.

Unacceptable. Golden Tate all over again.

Thats why I question if Jefferson would have been able to replicate his success he had in Minny with the Eagles  The coaching staff would have probably have him take snaps as a back up TE.  I mean we got an entire updated  offensive coaching staff but the same crap as years before.  We blamed Groh for not being able to incorporate Tate and he got canned.  Who do we blame now.  Press Taylor?  Marty?  The sole problem is Doug and him coming back next year is just hopeless imho.

Did Miles really need to chime in and add fuel to the fire?  Good lord man

And Im glad Wentz has remained silent.  The FO needs to figure this out and he can do nothing by opening his mouth

The funny part is people get on Wentz for not talking... but the truth is, talking often makes things 10x worse.

Is there anything more Browns than to miss the playoffs for like 20 years, finally make it, then immediately lose your HC/playcaller and starting LG?

I know the dolphins general manager today said he was happy with tua. But the cardinal said the same thing and i wouldn’t expect him to say otherwise.

I know Adam schefter put out there that the Jets were going to make a big move this off-season. He said it was either going to be trading away the number 2 pick and keeping darnold or trade darnold and taking fields

So we have no money to buy new players. We have very little in the way of good, young talent. We’re keeping our GM who put us in this mess.

Even with the sixth pick, this is as apathetic about the Eagles as I’ve ever been. Next year feels like a scheduled root canal.

That's not the debate...  The issue was that Jefferson was discussed as a slot only, and the Eagles... once again... missed the boat.

The coaching staff doesn't know how to use players that the front office acquires, and the front office doesn't know how to acquire players the coaches will use.  Get rid of all of them.

RTK signing up was the news? I honestly thought it was maybe someone made a large donation to the board or something like that

I think the largest donation (in April), was $500, I'd have to double check to be sure but that number sticks in my head.

Wow what a terrible route runner. Should have drafted jeffersonzzzz.

This was happening early in the season before reagor got hurt and was probably happening all season long. There have obviously been clips of him running lazy routes, and one has to wonder if it's maybe because the QBs are ish and can't even get a pass to him when he's wide open? Not a great attitude to have but frustration is understandable, for me anyway.

At any rate, like another poster already said this is why you can't just automatically assume jefferson would have even half the season he had with Minnesota if he got drafted here. We don't have an Adam thielen or a Dalvin cook to draw attention away, or a coaching staff that knows how to utilize the players they have.

Pretty cool of them to do that for him and his family

I didn't know that was the largest but I believe we have @Portyansky to thank for that

At least we get the fantastic dialog between arsenal and RTK until one gets suspended/banned
