i'm telling you - Cary Angeline, TE from NC State. He is from Chester Springs. late rounder or high priority UDFA.

i wonder if they get the "local" workouts this year??

I figure Goedert is the starter and Ertz is traded.  I figure there are two or three TEs/Hbacks. Frankly, I hope they find a use for JJAW as an Hback.   JJAW is shorter than Butler but stouter.  Wilson and Jackson are TE sized. Wilson intrigues.  Decent speed at 240 and 6’ 4”.  Ran a 4.56.   Had a bang year as a junior at UCLA.  Mr. Irrelevant when draft.  Has a year on the Cards PS and a year on and off with the WTFs.  Sure suggests the Eagles are looking to develop a faster Hback type.  The Colts carried four, but that may have spoken more towards the depth of their WRs.

Now your guy.  Not impressed. Speed looks pedestrian.  Blocks like Ertz.  JJAW is a much better downfield blocker, for example.   Runs round routes.  Stutter steps to stop.  Saw no feint or juke in him.  No crispness.  Need some crispness inhis cuts to play in the NFL.  Now that said, Butler ran poor routes and has questionable hands.  Wilson also needs some crispness in his routes but likely he has better speed.  No one knows what Jackson can do.  Your guy seems like an UDFA/PS project in my mind although given the TE depth this year, he may get drafted.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Anyone who jumped on the Foles train and supported the idea that he could win playoff games " does not deserve a QB like Carson Wentz "

Now he is trying to run the guy out of town.  God the irony is so good.

Me run the guy out of town? He doesn't want to be here.  And after how bad he played this past season and made Eagles games so unenjoyable to watch I don't really want him here either.  I think he has a chance to turn his career around but I think he needs a fresh start in a new city to make that possible at this point.

It reminds me very slightly of Andy's last year here.  I was and am a huge Andy fan but after that disaster season when his son died in training camp and then the team just clearly quit after Juan was fired it was obvious that it was best for both parties if Andy was allowed to go have a fresh start somewhere else.

I was a big Wentz fan.  I like him but I just don't see him being able to turn it around here.  There is too much bad history between him and the organization, there is too much potential for the fans in the stadium (if we ever get back to that) turning on him in an instant at one bad pass chanting for Hurts to come in. He was obviously struggling with the shadow of Hurts last season and that was before he was benched for him.  Maybe he wants the Eagles to trade Hurts for him to come back? Maybe that is a solution but at the same time how does the locker room react to that?

It's best for both parties that Wentz gets a fresh start somewhere else. I think it's clear that Wentz believes this and the Eagles also have this same belief or are maybe coming around to it.

Yup, I gave him a chance but he's back on ignore. Hot takes is all he has

I apologize about "he never comes to the Blog" comment...now that the door has been opened he is "one who never leaves"...among others, of course

I heard on the radio today that Troy Aikman made a comment about Eagles fans have lost their edge since the SB win.

Anyone else hear this or seen it?  I couldn't find it anywhere and not even sure what the statement means.

Troy lost his mind when he was concussed all those times with the cowpads.

Now my memory of you is coming back.

Listen I'll talk back and forth with you on here because unlike the other guy I put on ignore you can actually articulate your stances.

But if you only want to try to constantly troll me then yeah I'll throw you on ignore again.

If this is the real Koy then this board just got that much better. Its been to bland lately.

Posting hot takes that will be proven wrong, it is most definitely him.

He's like that one coworker who you invite over for dinner on a Friday night because well you feel sorry for them , know they are lonely, and you realize you made a mistake as they take their shoes off after dinner, it hits you, "we have a house guest for the weekend"

The Rams wanted to get rid of Goff so much they sent a 1st to get rid of him.
Everything the Eagles have done publicly is support Wentz + fire the coach he hated.

We're not giving him away.

We called him an asset. That’s not really support.

I enjoyed his posts before.

Sipping my coffee now.

It sounds like he is the guy you bring to a Fantasy Draft and automatically get a discount from the entry fee for having him draft.

What was your favorite ??

Ruben Randle is the 2nd best WR on the team ( never plays another snap in an NFL regular season game )

Eagles season ended the second Carson Wentz got hurt ( Nick Foles then leads Eagles to Superbowl win )

I confused if it is or not.  Use of the word "articulate" is well outside of his English language abilities, but the lack of punctuation and capital letters is right on point.

When he and his evil twin, bobbyizdum, used to go back and forth, the English language was battered beyond recognition.

@downundermike

The Kelce news hasn’t leaked yet because he probably hasn’t decided what to do, which apparently is pretty normal for him. He gets beat to S during the year, contemplates retirement, then the offseason comes and he feels better.

It’s not even close to the same thing as Wentz going radio silent.

honestly any time he talked about Nick foles. I honestly agreed with him. As I am a huge Nick Foles fan too :D lol

With all the "media" reporting that Wentz wants out it's not surprising that Howie would be receiving calls and he would be foolish not to listen. Still nothing to see here. Now if Howie was making calls to gauge interest - that would be different.

It's alright. Nobody is perfect.

@downundermike

I know your take on the salary cap issue and think its reasonable.  Let's say the Eagles throw in the towel on that, do they have to give up Goff level picks in a trade to help with that brutal hit?

5 minutes ago, downundermike said:

It's probably just a matter of semantics. I bet Wentz's agent has asked for the trade, but Wentz hasn't. Most likely just wordplay.  The FO wants to keep leverage, so saying Wentz hasn't asked for it makes them seem less desperate to move him.

you should always pick up phone on a trade request. Never hurts and never know. If you have a chance to improve your team you listen. I am sure he got calls for Carson quite a few times.

Nobody isn't perfect either!

So just for the record. He likes to let the defensive line get after him in the backfield, so he can run for his life to try and find a receiver to make a miraculous play?

When you can’t accept criticism and you show regression for 3 season it becomes inevitable.  An improving QB would not make the rookie mistakes Carson did this year.

That article is just Roob regurgitating the NFL Network report. He knows nothing.

I don't think they would have to add picks to get rid of him, his contract is very reasonable to the team receiving him.

But they are going to get pennies on the dollar when weighed against the cap hit and the pick investment they made in the move up to get him.
