With the amount of build up we are getting it's going to end up being Carson for a 2nd.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Well it sure as hell couldn't be multiple Wentz players now could it?

Maybe Connor Wentz and NoDak are apart of the deal?

Anything short of a 1st this year plus either another 1st OR 2nd and decent player I’m pissed

Or maybe we are trading our entire roster for the bears entire roster so all the problems stay the same for Wentz

I just remember what I saw watching the game, so it could be wrong if we chart it. They tried to run and were stuffed at the line a crap ton and got in a lot of 3rd and longs. I think one of them had a good run at some point, but Tampa seemed to have it locked down.

They had 12 running plays  the entire game

Can we trade wentz and howie for Ballard and Nelson?

The fact that Carson had to change the plays so much is telling. What a dumpster fire.

Looks now like it didn’t happen but I could’ve comeback with DP got fired for Carsons poor play calling, right ?

Wentz and Ertz for a 1st and Allen Robinson.

No idea how that works cap wise or if you can even trade the rights to a pending UFA.

No 3 team deals. We have to be the Philadelphia Bears

Since the trade won’t be official until the new league year and free agency begins. No.

Like you, I consider myself objective and reasonable about Wentz. Within this scope I find criticism of his leadership presence as well as how he approaches his job. Is it reasonable to add his mechanics issues to the discussion and potentially central to why he has regressed since 2017 when he used a QB guru? This single thing, in my mind, holds the highest degree of risk and reward. Clearly, within the Eagles organization he has not gotten the feedback or support that this is an expectation of season commitment to his craft. Not for every QB but certainly for those who have persistent mechanics issues that cause overthrows, for example. The risk is that he doesn't agree and believes that there are many other factors that underlie his poor play.   The reward is that upon reuniting with Reich, Flip or an organization that makes working on his mechanics a condition of his employment, he will regain better accuracy and efficiency as a QB. Either way, I think this boat has sailed with the Eagles organization and this is why trading him is the best current option but also reflective of organizational failure.

Add that clause to his contract if legal, he’ll agree. He’s a good sport

Robinson is a FA

That's the pure emotion of the game right there.  That is football personified.  One of the all time greats, probably the GOAT holder and he is just letting loose with pure emotion.  That is what that is.

My post says he's an UFA. What I didn't know is if you can trade the rights(to negotiate ahead of time on a contract ext) for a pending UFA.

What the hell does that even mean?

Maybe they are packaging someone like Ertz into the deal to try to get some bigger draft pick return.

They do it in hockey but never seen it done in the nfl. I don’t know if his cap number effects your roll over if you do that and i believe no trade can go through until the new league year. Just can announce it. Nor do the eagles have the cap to sign him at the moment

So who eats 3.5m in 2022 if they cut him?

His 2022 money is not guaranteed so it wouldn't cost anything to cut him then.  We're only on the hook for $1.4M in 2021 guaranteed money.  We're free and clear after that.

Because of that I'd be ok taking him in the deal if we're forced to.

Can Howie go too?

I loved The Avengers too.  Emma Peel in the skin tight black suit.

Honor Blackman, who preceded Diana Rigg, and Joanna Lumley, who followed her in The New Avengers, were hot too. My favorite single shot from whole series was Joanna Lumley in an impossibly tight skirt, with one long and shapely leg hooked over a rung of a rope ladder, swigging a bottle of champagne, as the helicopter lifts off with her dangling below.

Tbh i loved wentz playing the way he did at the end of 2019 but that team was 5-7 ans also pyrite. They were not in a position to win now mode either. It’s why i went scorched earth about this team needing to rebuild last offseason. That said the 2012 was bad for the eagles and had a ton of injuries. I think the 2020 team had a lot of injuries but if they didn’t i still don’t think they would’ve been good or in a position to win anything more than a crap division.

It was... it was shown to be fundamentally flawed, especially at the WR position... and they did nothing to fix it for the immediate impact of 'win now'... and quite frankly, did very little for the future either.

How about we trade Howie to the bears in exchange for a poo slinging monkey. Put a big poster up on the wall with college players on draft day and let the monkey go to work. Gotta be better then Howie right?

Negotiate with what?  Howie is more than $50M over the most generous projected salary cap.  The Eagles aren’t signing any pending UFA with a market over $3M per season
