Aren't agents normally with players for their entire career?

Also I wouldn't compare something outside the league though. Very apples and oranges IMO

No. Players switch agents all the time. Agents drop players sometimes if they feel like it.

I don't usually compare normal life to the league but this is very apples to apples. They are paying someone to represent them. Each agent usually has multiple players/coaches/GM's etc. Just like lawyers.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

He's back to "Trader Howie" again if he gets more than that!

I dont think eagles draft a WO early , but if they did I think Devonta Smith ends up best WO in the class , plus you can trade back a little end land him

Or wait and take Dyami Brown in rd 2

But I think DB and backer  are bigger needs

@Bacarty2

Dude, you clearly don’t understand the whole tampering thing. Best to move on.

dont get made at me bud.

Agent to teams after his player gets asked for a pay cut apparently isnt tampering in the law of the NFL  as most agents/former agents/Gm's have said

My name isn't bud.  It's Freshmilk.

You make zero sense on this. Teams don't talk directly to the player, they talk to his agent. That's tampering. Players agent talks to other teams. That's tampering. Team asks player to talk take a pay cut and agents talk to other teams to get a sense of his worth. That's tampering. Everything you are saying is tampering. It's not "no big deal" it's "there's no solid proof". It's really not that hard to understand.

It was fine.  Any criticism is extremely nit picky.

My only criticism is I was forced to listen to Steve Smith talk for 35 minutes.

I do admit, i am very nit picky, esp in pro days since they are throwing to people they know. I usually give more slack in the combine then pro days. I just expected a little more polished with the hype.

I liked his deep throws, posts, corners etc. I liked most of his quick slants. I just saw some wobble on the ball on some of them quick short throws which I was very surprised. The red zone to me was not impressive at all and was the biggest surprise to me. I know he will go number 1 ovr. No doubt he is by far the best QB in this draft. I personally wouldnt draft any QB in this draft with exception of him in the top 3/4 rounds.

JFC.

when a team reaches to a player..(AKA his agent) you get popped for tamering. It's happened often

Wrong. You only get popped for tampering if the team who holds the players rights makes a complaint and has proof.

In this case, numerous GMs/Former agents have said it's common practice for the player(AKA THE AGENT) to reach out to other teams after he's been asked to tate a large pay cut to field interest and no ones gotten in trouble for it

BECAUSE THERE IS NO PROOF

Eagles complain Giants tampered with Cox.

Goodell: "Drew, did you tamper with Cox."

Drew: "No"

Goodell: "Eagles, do you have proof he talked to Cox"

Eagles: "No"

Goodell: "ok then"

Well there it is. If a CURRENT agent came out and said this with a specific example, they'd be popped immediately for tampering. Stop being so obtuse.

I just don't see it as that simple. If I pay a lawyer to represent me and they do something unethical, there's no way I should take the heat for them doing that. It's a nuanced situation.

You could.  A defense might be struck or a sanction might prevent certain testimony.  Judges tend to sanction one side or the other.

2 years ago, Pitts, the kid from Penn state and Long from Bc were all in the same bucket and most had the kid from Penn state as the top Tight end

The onloy thing that changed is Pitts got Trask.

Trask + Grimes is wayyyy better then anything any other TE has in this draft.

Ah, so young men don't develop their bodies and skills any further past age 18 I suppose? Naw, the only thing that changed was their QB situation.

I don't even want Pitts in the top end of round 1, but I'll trust the numerous scouts who place him as a top 10 pick.

You know its getting Stale on topics when your arguing back and forth about what tampering is in the NFL.

How a QB throws on his pro day, unless it's obvious he can't make routine throws, who cares?

Like speed in WRs, arm strength in QBs is grossly overrated, how many NFL throws travel more than 30 yards in the air?

Pitts v Chase, as long as both are for real, I couldn't care, just a slightly different look.

Now going in the top ten I want Pitts to run in the 4.5 range, just show enough speed to split the seams against zone defenses.

Other than that, Chase will give you more big play potential, Pitts a more reliable target on 3rd downs and in the red zone. Both have significant value.

Correct

You're backing up my point 100000000%

When a team is about to cut/ask for a pay cut the agent goes and talks to other teams. No tampering charges.

It’s still tampering if his current team didn’t grant permission

It’s only adultery if your wife finds out.
