Trump’s claim is only "false” in the sense that he believes his win is certain. It is not certain. Nor is it certain that Biden won. He also believes you can stop hurricanes with nuclear weapons, can prevent wild fires by raking the forests, can prevent covid by injecting ourselves with bleach and shoving UV lights up our rectums, and that staring directly into a solar eclipse is a good idea.

January 3, 20223 yr Really is insane how many people still believe the election was stolen. I could maybe understand if the clown lost one very close state that decided everything, but the guy got shellacked.

There was much MORE of a case for fraud 20 years ago between Bush/Gore with the whole Florida stuff. Republicans weren't so worried about it back then for some reason.

Its something most people and candidates are reluctant to challenge because it would be a huge cost for only a small chance that in the end, after counting errors both in your favor and errors against you, you come out on top and I think the reluctance can be traced back to the civil war. It was very bitter and a lot of people died. Naturally people will go along to get along to a great degree

But the court heard Bush’s argument that if you challenge that one county, you have to challenge all of the counties. Gore dropped the case iirc. We can take that to mean either he thought he had zero chance or that he thought there was a small chance compared to a serious blow to his reputation and campaign finances if he made a huge fuss and lost

January 3, 20223 yr Personally I think we’ve reached an age and size of population where it makes more sense to vote for President the old way where the legislatures decide, and we elect our legislature. Then it would be easy and quick to determine who is President and at least the very bottom of the bottom feeders wouldn’t have as much impact

You think the Dems just pulled a fast one on em for a few million votes? Centuries of democratic safeguards just vanished?
