January 7, 20223 yr Author Part of Texas GOP platform: 71. State Electoral College: The State Legislature shall cause to be enacted a State Constitutional Amendment creating an electoral college consisting of electors selected by the popular votes cast within each individual state senatorial district, who shall then elect all statewide office holders. 75. United States Senators: We support restoring state sovereignty with the repeal of the 17th Amendment of the United States Constitution and the appointment of United States Senators by the state legislatures. They want to be able to Gerrymander state districts so they can have Republican state senators elect the US senators and governor. They straight up want to take the right of the citizens to decide elections away from them. It's in black and white.
January 7, 20223 yr Texas GOP platform is a failure. They can't legislate their wants, it is unconstitutional. What's next? They want to secede?
January 8, 20223 yr "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these voters from the swift completion of their appointed lines”. Or not so swift.

January 11, 20223 yr Ya, we wouldn't want teachers, I mean overpaid babysitters, with their biased liberal agenda to give the notzees a bad rep and talk about those atrocities unfairly.
January 11, 20223 yr We really need to be neutral with the KKK and Not These. Some really fine people there we would not want to insult, just because they support things so abhorrent, we fought WW II over it.

January 11, 20223 yr Voters dispute Madison Cawthorn's candidacy for re-election. Quote The 14th Amendment says no one can serve in Congress "who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress . . . to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same.” The written challenge says events on Jan. 6, 2021 "amounted to an insurrection” and that Cawthorn’s speech at the rally supporting then-President Donald Trump, his other comments and information in published reports provide a "reasonable suspicion or belief” that he helped facilitate the insurrection. Free Speech for People and the group Our Revolution announced last week that it would urge state election administrators to bar Trump and members of Congress from appearing on future ballots There are consequences for those who participate in insurrection. Cawthorn must show he is fit to serve in Congress.
