I wouldn't be surprised if he polled worse with black Georgians than Purdue or Kemp or any other white Republican. He's such an embarrassing hypocritical disaster that he's a straight up insult to the black community. Yeah, he'll do great with the good old boys network, but if he can't actually get up and explain any of his positions in even a vaguely decipherable way, he's gonna have a hard time in the ATL suburbs, and that's where elections are won and lost in this state. The real question is will he debate or will he wilt? I'd guess wilt. He has to know that he'll get his a** handed to him.

I feel like they were recruited by the party to run. Somebody got into their head. They have to be running as a famous figurehead, as some larger than life hero because of athletic accomplishments. It isn't because of some coherent policy position. The problem with Lynn Swann's candidacy is the eastern half of the state could care less what he did with the Steelers. The problem with Herschel Walker today is nobody under 40 years old is going to remember any of his accomplishments as the hometown hero at University of Georgia. My guess is Walker will get skewered by Warnock in the first debate, then refuse to debate any further. He doesn't need to. He's running for the anti-intellectual MGT vote.
