February 4, 20214 yr So Parler idiots where talking about forming "The Patriot Party" to split off from the GOP. Looks like they don't need to leave, they are the party now. So what's it going to be for sane Republicans? Join Democrats or Libertarians, or will there be another party? 2024 or 2028 could look like: Republican Democrat Democratic Socialist (New classic conservative party) Libertarian Green

February 5, 20214 yr Rand Paul grandstanding as usual. Now refusing to wear a mask on the senate floor. He’s doing this because he wants to be arrested or censured. Paul, Cruz, Rubio and Hawley are all desperately trying to get the attention of Trumpbots and Qanon losers.

February 5, 20214 yr Eh, I can’t decide if being kicked off committees is a big deal or not. She’s still in Congress and one of the leaders of the Republican party. Was she really going to be a player in committees anyway? Her real strength is capitalizing on conservative propaganda and stoking conspiracy theories, not writing laws or forming policy. Just sayin’

Just sayin’ It's kind of unprecedented though. Never have the Dems of the House voted on these punishments against a member of the other party. The last guy they did it to, Steve King, the Republicans voted on it themselves. They took care of their problem. I see it as kind of a probation. She's got all eyes on her now, and the next time something happens, she could easily be expelled. edit: and btw, she been there a month

I caught some of conservative radio tonight and they were already playing up MTG being the victim and it being a travesty that AOC is not facing any backlash for "lying” on her livestreams about being in the Capitol on January 6th. It’s pathetic especially given how predictable this line of defense is.
February 5, 20214 yr It is a clear point of escalation and not one that should be diminished. However, the Repubs should have been part of drawing a line in the sand and saying enough is enough. Sadly they did not do that. The game is up. The only move left is for the 10 or whatever sane GOP Senators to declare their independence in some manner. Perhaps a bloc of sorts where they attempt to grab Manchin and become the swing vote. If the GOP kicks them out so be it.

Holy F this sucks. It’s happening at state and local level too, at least here in Pennsylvania. Still not giving up hope. Trump mania has to end sometime. Maybe after NY convicts him on tax fraud.
