I wish I could agree with this, but I still think trump is just a symptom of the gop game plan. They are still going to cater and feed misinformation to enrage their voters. I have family members who are insane trump supporters, some of them still believe he’s president. Right now. Trump wasn’t their first choice in 2016, not even the 3rd or 4th. It wasn’t until trump was running against a Democrat that they gave their 100%, unchangeable devotion to him. They never talk about how they really like and support the work and accomplishments of trump, just screech constant outrage about what the Democrats are doing. Most of the time it’s not even anything the Democrats are doing, just something they "heard” they were "going” to do when "the time comes”. Trump just tapped into the ignorance and rage that’s been sowed by rush, hannity, carlson etc’s of the world. Those people are not going to have an epiphany of intelligent when trump goes away.
