When crazy right wingers call everyone to the left of Hitler a commie I don't go off thinking the entirety of the right is condemning the left. Why do the "woke left" radicals supposedly represent the entirety of thinking for these supposed victims? He just wants to live in a world where it's okay to be white again.

The core issue remains the same - morons are easy targets for con men and grifters. We can rant and rave about Trump, Bernie, etc., but that is getting upset at the scorpion for stinging the frog. If you want things to change, stop believing in the charlatan of the day, educate yourself on the issues and actually engage. If you can’t spot the sucker at the table after 10 minutes, you are the sucker. These people are lied to and taken advantage of because they allow it to happen.

Rather a question. What to do when the suckers can't help themselves and you end up being the one who gets wrongly hurt?

Nothing other than point and laugh. The people they elect are also morons (see Trump, Donald). So any promises they make never actually are fulfilled. Plus, most of them now hate socialism more than anything. Think of it this way. Every time they pass more Wall Street regulations, the banks actually get more powerful. This is what happens when government and the electorate are too stupid to regulate industries run by the intelligent. So pass some more crap, and we will find a way to turn it around on them again. Rinse and repeat.
February 27, 20214 yr I’m just glad we have Dr. Philly here to tell Vikas who he should hate. Otherwise how would Vikas figure it out?

Good luck with that. It will never pass, and the rubes don’t support it, the morons in the cities do. Or pass it, let the lobbyists write the actual rules, and my guys will find ways around it. Worst case I will move to the Caribbean. I have no time to worry about morons. Too busy trying to maximize my time.
February 27, 20214 yr Which would have a bigger impact, a wealth tax of 2% on people with over $50 mil in net wealth or raising the minimum wage?

Both would hurt the economy, but the impacts would be different. The minimum wage increase would lead to large job losses from automation and higher prices across the board. The wealth tax would lead to an exodus of the tax base from the US. Both would be bad, but the wealth tax would likely be worse since you would chase away the people paying all the taxes. Thankfully, a wealth tax is clearly unconstitutional.

You should’ve seen it at the last wedding I went to. The bride danced with her dad! The groom then danced with his mom! Oedipus complex, or normal behavior, who am I to judge?

If I had to guess the vast amount of jobs paying under $15 are service jobs. I’m sure there are sone people working in manufacturing who are in the $13 - $15 an hour range though. I tend to agree that the wealth tax is unconstitutional, which means they would need three -fourths of the states to ratify an amendment mandating it. No chance (currently).

Automation isn’t limited to manufacturing jobs. Call it technology. Self serve checkouts at the grocery store, kiosks for self ordering at fast food, Siri-styled AI for drive-thru orders, etc. It is all already happening. Democrats seem hell bent on accelerating it.
