Eh back in my younger and more venerable years I was a registered Dem and then switched to Independent. The issue I have with the Libertarian Party is with a sizable chunk of Libertarians being just as nuts as MAGAts. That and the geopolitical situation IMO needs US involvement. What we need there is a second coming of GHWB. Honestly I’m tempted to register Dem and just primary vote for more conservative Dems.

I left the GOP around 2012 or so and stayed independent until registering as Libertarian for a few years around the 2020 election. The LP is the only party I was ever a dues paying member of. I just switched back to GOP to vote in the primary and will probably switch back to independent after the primary.
March 12, 20241 yr Colorado Rep. Ken Buck resigning from Congress before month's end, narrowing GOP majority https://www.cbsnews.com/colorado/news/ken-buck-resignation-congress-colorado-representative-4th-congressional-district/ Such a shame.

It’s a smart move. Keeps Boebert from running in the special to replace him since she already has a seat, and then in the regular election she’s now running against an incumbent.

Speaking to reporters at the Capitol later in the day, the five-term congressman cited dysfunction in Congress and increasing political polarization as reasons for his departure. He pointed to the House vote to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and the ongoing impeachment probe against President Biden. Earlier, Buck appeared on CNN and said his recent experience in Congress has been filled with problems: "It is the worst year of the nine years and three months that I've been in Congress." Cause still true to this day (yet he'd gladly kiss trumps ballon knot):
March 13, 20241 yr Ken Buck Teases More Republican Resignations Are Coming When asked by Axios whether he was coming under pressure from colleagues over his decision to resign, Buck replied: "I think it's the next three people that leave that they're going to be worried about."

"Time to move on, Trump is irrelevant." All those takes aged really well. To be fair a bunch of us wasn't expecting the whole party to drink the Kool-Aid. I'm sure there's some politicians that don't agree with trump but are scared to go against the cult. They all need to be voted out
