August 3Aug 3 Well, a minor victory by the GOP Senators who Trump pushed out (Tillis and Cornyn) as they have stood up just a little bit and forced the Trump slush fund to be publicly withdrawn by the DOJ. The DOJ statement also made it clear that the IRS agreement with Trump to not prosecute Trump further is only retroactive and also only applies to a named set of people. Not super great but a tiny step in any case. Imagine if the GOP Senators had some spine all along.

August 5Aug 5 Author AP NewsMilitary jamming disrupted a medical plane's GPS system b...Federal investigators say the GPS system on a small medical plane that crashed into a mountainside last month in New Mexico malfunctioned because the military was jamming that signal throughout the arit's a bit more nuanced than that it seems. basically the plane was having problems, and the pilots knew their GPS was not functioning properly and why. they were being directed by the air traffic controller at the airport, and the pilots at one point said they had the runway in sight. At one point, the controller even contacted the military and got it to shut down the jammers. But then shortly before the crash, the pilots told controllers they had the airport in sight and planned to land visually, so controllers gave the military the OK to resume jamming."If you can see the runway, you can see the mountain. Why would you fly into it?” Cox asked, because even with the new details in this preliminary report, there are still many unanswered questions about the crash.
