The only things that are are no abortion and closed borders. The devil's bargain that the Republicans made in the 70's is over. It's done. As far as bringing popular expansive programs to the table, it was a nothing burger, but as far as training the rank and file in the party to accept big spending and picking winners and losers, it was extremely effective. He did more for the Democratic Party's ideological messaging outreach than anyone in history. And since classic Republicans don't have the backbone to separate themselves from the Trump wing, you can all but guarantee that their next guy will adopt the Trump rhetoric/ideology (assuming the next guy isn't Trump himself). And at some point, these people that they've trained to want populism will actually ask for populist programs.
