Farts, loud ones, echoing throughout all of time and space, that's what next for the Republican Party.

Easy for her to say…  She’s not dealing with the cult.

Too late.  The best shot was after Jan 6 when they had a shot at have taking down Trump and some of the other idiots.  Mitch reached the wrong conclusion in my mind.

Here in Pennsylvania….

Imagine what regular folks will tell Senate of voter fraud

John Baer
The Republican Senate in Pa. is casting a wider net.

OK, this could be fun.

Having failed to find 2020 election fraud at the state or local level — in a state where the local level is run mostly by Republicans — the Republican Senate is casting a wider net. It’s asking voters to send in their personal accounts of election "irregularities” and "improprieties.”

Yep, the powerful (?) Senate Intergovernmental Operations Committee is using its well-known expertise in operating intergovernmentally to offer a "special webpage” where voters can "share their stories.”

It’s the latest step in a shabby, embarrassing, oddly run effort to conduct a conspiracy theory-driven "forensic audit” of the state’s 2020 vote (you know, the one that stole the White House from Donald Trump). It’s modeled on an also shabby Arizona "audit” started in April. No report to date.

The effort here is hardly better.

One audit leader, Franklin County GOP Sen. Doug Mastriano, got yanked off the job by Senate President Pro Tempore Jake Corman, for getting nothing done, and replaced by Jefferson County GOP Sen. Cris Dush, he of the "special webpage.”

So, here we go. If no courts or election officials anywhere can find evidence of "the steal,” let’s turn to vigilante voters. Surely, truth lies there.

And let’s make it easy. Just click on the "special” page, enjoy the "Restoring Faith in PA Elections” logo, fill out a simple form and share your "description of violation.”

I imagine descriptions will vary. I hope the public gets to read them. But I can’t wait, and can’t help offering samples of what we might see — from eyewitnesses, Facebook fans and others.

"Dear Sen. Dush. I am a lifelong York County Republican. I am all but certain that on or about Nov. 2, 2020, while walking my little German schnauzer, Diamond, I saw Tom Wolf dumping a box of what appeared to be mail-in ballots into Beaver Creek not far from Mount Royal in York County. I know it was him, even though he was wearing a fat suit and a MAGA hat over a toupee, because of the way he giggles. And there was a Jeep nearby.

"Please look into this. Thank you. Ida Scheinwerfer.”

We’ll certainly hear from trusted social media sources.

"Senator: We all know the election was rigged. I personally know a friend on Facebook who told how his Aunt Edna’s plumber, a socialist union member, who, following union orders, used his plumber’s tools to break into the polling place at Weedville Wesleyan Church on Bennetts Valley Highway, Weedville, Pa.

"This plumber, I am reliably told, jiggered a voting machine so that any time two votes for President Trump were cast back-to-back, one of the votes would be automatically deleted. This means half the President’s votes were never counted!

"I am reaching out to my Facebook friend to have him get in touch with you. Yours, Mike Murmeltier, Punxsutawney.”

I suspect there will be election reform ideas.

"Sen. Dush, I think this state’s election system is rotten. I’ve personally witnessed its rottenness. Standing in line to vote for President Trump in last year’s election at the Wagontown Fire Company on Kings Highway, Coatesville, I had to wait behind tons and tons of Democrats. There are just too many Democrats in cities.

"I suggest you pass a law or, better yet, a constitutional amendment limiting the number of Democrats who can vote in cities. This would make our elections fairer. Put it on the ballot. I bet it passes. Very truly yours, Archie Augenbinde.”

Don’t know about you, but I feel supremely confident this new outreach for public input leads to the truth about 2020.

But even if it somehow falls short?

Since the overall "audit” effort isn’t constrained by time, money, resources or reality, there remains the option of the Senate hiring famed inspector Jacques Clouseau.

Not surprising at all IMO.

Do you think the GOP will get rid of their primary in 2024?

Good question.

it will take an entire generation for repugs to wipe the trumpstink from their party.

What's next? Folk songs.

The next time someone tells me nothing good has ever come from the internet, I'm gonna send them that video.

Yeah a governor with a 56% approval rating in an overwhelmingly blue state couldn't possibly defeat a moonbat talk show host.

Member when trumpbots were saying DeSantis was the new face of the GOP and a shoe-in to win the nomination because of how well he was handling the pandemic?

I member. I member it well.

It's almost like authoritarian measures intended to prevent local businesses from being able to institute preventative measures during a pandemic is not only government overreach but also bad for public health.

Who could have predicted this though?

Unhinged Newsmax Host Cuts Off and Yells at Veteran for Mildly Criticizing Trump

"With due respect, Grant, that veterans—and I being one—and our friends are over there,” Saboe said. "We follow this closely from multiple administrations, and we know that Trump administration’s efforts here were fairly weak, that they were trying to limit the number of people that would get out and so there were coordination problems.”

An enraged Stinchfield immediately attempted to interject, first claiming they were running short on time before seemingly losing his temper and demanding producers ditch Saboe’s feed.

"Cut him off, please. Cut him off now! Cut him off now,” the conservative host shouted. "You’re not going to blame this on President Trump on my show!”

They really are a cult.

You cannot say anything about Glorious Leader. No criticism is allowed, no matter how slight.

Cultists.

After my daughter’s school had a shooting a couple weeks ago they put a cross up on the video board on the side of the school. My wife sent them an angry email. Yep, we’re that family.

Why is this so hard to understand? If you want your kids to get a religious education, send them to a religious school.

There's always been prayer allowed in school. When I taught high school one of my students had a prayer rug and prayed to mecca. The school just can't lead students in prayer. Imagine if these same folks saw students carrying prayer rugs to school by the dozens. My guess is they might feel differently about that kind of prayer in school.

I wouldn't even have an issue with a public school having a Christian student club that was an extra-curricular activity led by a teacher. Same for any other religion. But you can't have compulsory prayer in the classroom of any kind. It's really not that difficult a concept to understand.

This. I send my kids to a religious school. I like having a moral foundation to their lessons and I find the approach preferable to the slop served up in public school that passes for curriculum. Even one of my best friends (the guy make a killing on selling horse pills right now) who is an atheist sends his kids to a Quaker school because he wants a moral foundation and the importance of service stressed in curriculum.
